• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 rear fender swap out

Don't know. ..!!

I haven't seen one on the but quite a few on the RS/RSS. Did see someone that made a great looking high fender and color matched it to his red/orange F3...

Has anyone fitted one of these yet?

Yes I have one. Had to modify the license plate bracket due to the HI safety sticker.

I like the fender but not the price way out of my range. Made my own.

What was the install like?

Not bad at all. There's some minor assembly required and then removal of the old fender and wire harness. The chopped fender is held on with only 3 screws and is stable.

I found the instructions to be sufficient.

I installed one on my spyder. Pretty easy. I have not tried it in the rain yet:sour:.

Sorry for the rotation????

HIspyder,

Do you have a side photo of your Spyder? My wife has been considering this fender for her F3.

Also, the one in the BRP catalog shows that they are painted, but yours looks like it is just a flat plastic. Is there two different kinds??

I like the BRP chopped fender. Easy install plus looks great. Downside it's a bit pricy.

I am not a fan on the flat black on the Fender. In the catalog it says that the colour should be steel black metallic. The only one I see with a flat black fender is the F3-S Special Series. I guess I will have to confirm with my dealer to make sure the one we get will be painted. My wife's bike is black and chrome and the flat black fender just won't go with it. :gaah:

I was going to go out and snap a pic for you but I see Mike Ard has you covered.

The fender as pictured is the way it comes from BRP. Not sure why they decided not to produce the painted version.

It's metal and should be easily painted any color you desire.

Why would they make them that colour??????

Well.....we went to our dealer, today, who had a rear fender in stock, and my wife nixed the idea. She didn't like that the fender is a metallic grey, and not black. I asked them to check and see if there were two different colour options, but nope, only one, and it doesn't look like the one in the catalog. I am not sure why BRP would make them that colour when nothing else on the bike is even close to that colour. It would only go with the titanium bike in my opinion. Paying that much and then having to repaint it was not an option for us.

Thanks BRP, you saved me $500.:yes::yes::yes:

The color matches the frame color of my Spyder. I thought all the frames were painted that color except for the orange frames. BRP also sell front fenders painted the same color.
