• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Picked it up yesterday at Velocity Power Sports in Ladson, SC. Traded my 2015 steel black F3 S. The improved rear shock was noticeable right away. A lot smoother ride over the "sharp" bumps.

That's not a helmet, more of a skid-lid. A real helmet ? fugedaboutit.

True statement!
USB and RCA plugs are located in the glove box. Will be hooking up my Garmin with XM. Radio sounds great with plenty of power. Full Color display = 10 second start up delay when turning key to on. :sour:

Came with a windshield. Appears to be the "Tallboy", but haven't verified it with the part number. Wind deflection is satisfactory (depends on what you like) up to 45 MPH. Start to get the buffeting in the ears around 50 MPH. I think it is better than the Blue Ridge in this regard. At 5'-11" with 32" inseam the "breeze" is hitting my forehead.
Rick

Edit: Looking at the accessory catalog the included windshield looks like it is probably in the middle as far as height goes. Will be ordering the Tallboy soon and getting Lamont's version of the auxiliary lights. Then it will be about perfect.

I am glad you posted pictures. I really like the looks of this bike, and it seems to have about everything that I want in a spyder. My only concern would be about the size of those saddle bags. I really like the looks, but I might would have to just get a F3 and bite the bullet on a set of Cobin bags for storage purposes. That thing sure does look sexy from the back and sides though. The BRP book says about 54 Liters of storage in the bags while Cobin claims about 68 liters of storage. I would like to see a set of on a F3, and a F3T beside it for comparison. Maybe I will get to see that at one of the spyder rallys this year.

Congratulations. ...l

That is a sweet ryde. :2thumbs: glad you found some improvement in the switch but the triple black alone could cause one to change....

Finally, at last.

A dealer actually that had one sold one. I just test sat the F3T and Limited at the Progressive Motorcycle Show in Cleveland. Yep the bags are indeed small but nice to know that a half helmet will fit in there. I was thinking the frunk would hold two half helmets (my wife's and mine).

If you look closely at this pic you'll see that the muffler has been "pushed back" to sit under the saddlebags. I may have to spray paint the exposed section of the exhaust piping. I figure a high temperature flat black would make it disappear.

Lamont will your catalytic test pipe fit the F3 T/L???

I also have a 2016 F3-L SS, nice ryde, congrats.

The answer to your question for Lamont is yes. I installed his "Performance Muffler", aka cat bypass pipe, w/ the Big City Baffle on my F3-L. You will not be able to use the rear mount on the pipe because BRP changed the rear mount on the 16 F3-L (and probably the T model as well). However that is not a problem because Lamont's pipe is much lighter than the cat and it doesn't need to be supported at the rear mount. The front mount, springs, and the clamp at the muffler is sufficient. My pipe is solid as a rock. Lamont posted this info a short while ago.
