• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Ambassadors Kit

ambassador kit?? your kidding,,, my windscreen, ultra touring has been on order since december and BRP is focused on this???? It seems they do everything to win a customer but nothing for the existing customer.
 
I've read all the posts about the cool stuff that BRP sends to my SpyderLovers family and I've come to the conclusion that BRP hates me! :mad:

I know I'm being overly dramatic...but still...I'm a good Spyder Lover!

I got mine yesterday.

Today, it already saved me 20 mins while I was getting gas. Instead of spending the normal 20 minutes to explain all about the Spyder. I simply appolgized for not having the time. Then I handed them a DVD, Z-Card, and a couple stickers. Then I told them to check out the stuff, go for a test ride. And I will see them on a group ride.

It worked very well.

Mike, don't feel bad, neither Brian nor I have received our spyder Ambassador kits or the Test Pilot kits. So it is not you.

Maybe they can't ship to states that start with the letter M. :dontknow: A few more rants and I'm sure lamonster will get "the official word" as to why only certain people get the ambassadors packet. :D

I think you either need to be registered on the Spyder Ryder site or have the Spyder registered to you thru dearler's BOSS web before BRP formally recongnizes you.

Well, since they just did my owner profile on their site, I would say I have been recognized. I am listed on that site as the contact person for the Mid Michigan Spyder Ryders as well. I have posted comments and photos there and have been a member since it came on line. Unfortunately I do not think that is part of the problem. I also know I am listed in our dealerships computer as I have had warranty work done a few times now. I also have my BESTPlus card issued which has me in that computer. I have had email correspondence with the BRP SpyderTeam on more than one occasion. I just don't think it is a problem of recognition. I really do not know what the issue is. I had my First Owners Card, my owners pin and map and the silly piece of cardboard that no one knows what to do with as well. So they have sent us stuff before. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

They probably think you are so famous that you don't need the Ambassador Kit as you are already a great Ambassador without it --all the rest of us need a little help. :D
 
If mine shows up - then so be it - if not then no biggie- I'm too busy riding to really care anyway.:doorag:

I've seen the stuff as the regional reps have similar kits with that stuff in them that they hand out. They do know their marketing pretty well!

Thanks Bill, but I have never thought of myself as famous...LOL, at times maybe infamous.:ohyea: As Firefly said, if it comes great, but I am not going to stay up late worrying about it. I have already been an Ambassador. We even made DVD's on our own, we got BRP's permission to burn copies of the ones we got when we purchased the spyder. We had those handed out in no time.

Thank you for your interest in the ambassador kit. BRP is aware that all of its Spyder owners are always asked tons of questions by interested consumers.

BRP has identified approximately 100 North American Spyder Ambassadors for this year. This group has been identified by BRP and its partner agencies. This is based on mileage pin requests, participation on SpyderRyder.com, participation in third-party Spyder forums, owner event participation and dealer feedback.

For those that are not one of the 100 ambassadors, there will be a downloadable business card on SpyderRyder.com where owners can print out themselves to hand out to interested consumers. Please stay tuned to SpyderRyder.com for more information.
