• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I plan to host my traditional "last ride of the year" next Thur (New Year's Eve) beginning in Metairie. It will be either a "8 bridges" ride, or probably a shorter "5 bridges" ride. The route and objective is to cross over the Miss River on the bridges that span from LA to LA territory: Crescent City Connection, Huey Long, Destrehan/Luling, Gramercy, Sunshine, both BR bridges, St Francisville...

Sounds like a fun ryde. But then your whole state is full of bridges what with all the bayous :roflblack::roflblack: remember on that's 17 miles long and had a gas stop along the way that when I got there had burned down..:yikes: not like they didn't have water...:banghead: enjoy the ryde wish it were closer....:2thumbs::ohyea:

Crescent City Connection (downtown New Orleans) from east to westbank
then loops around heading north to cross the Huey from westbank to east.

we make our way from south to north along the River ending at the new St Francisville Bridge where the ferry used to run north of BR
