• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Over the next week or so i am going to add items that would be good to bring with you for Spyderfest, Please post your suggestions also.

1) Introduction cards

This is a picture of my old cards, you can make up 500 from Vistaprint.com for about $15.00, great way to help folks remember who you are and how to contact you.

2) Rain Gear, never know when it will come in handy in Springfield, MO.

3)Warm and cool clothes, weather in Springfield changes often.

OK throw yours out here.

The most important thing is CASH or an Empty Credit Card Lots of things to get. lol Just bring your smile and have a good time.

#4 - money to shop with at Vendor Village

#5 - soap to wash your Spyder with. Last year I had to beg dish soap at the hotel office. The camp host graciously provided rags, though. Also, consider bringing your favorite detailer for touch-ups.

MAYBE THIS

...:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:....No don't laugh but I plan to bring my 160 mph leaf blower to speed up drying my and other people's Spyder's........Mike

:agree::firstplace: As with any trip, extra clothes for when you stay longer than planned:chat: :bbq: Found myself wandering around doing 1/2 the poker run stops a second time, just for fun:doorag: Made the most out of the trip & know will do more at next!

What to bring?

You! Lots of folks wonder if they should go. GO! They wonder if they will fit in? GO! Will people be friendly? GO! Will you have a great time? GO! Will you spend lots of money? YES! Will it be an absolute ball? YES!
We ride hard for nearly 3 days to make it. Worth every mile! GO! No regrets, no remorse, no excuses: GO!
See you there! Joe

$$$$$$$$ & then somenojoke Its a trip so be sure to have fun:p Lot to see, more to Farkle:helpsmilie: I see where others washed the spyder...? Not for me ill do that when I get back thank you. & probably with Lamont's black diamond cleaner if I can catch in time at auction;) Other thing to note is extra room for the farkles that you acquire in addition to what you had packed & used. Glad I got a Rivco sissy bar bag for my extras, otherwise I'd have to mail them. Hoping for trailer in time for this years. GONNA BE GREAT!!!!!!:b2b::yes::yes::yes:

Laundry detergent pods if you're traveling from a long distance. They don't take up very much room and you get to pack less if you plan to do a load of laundry at some point.

Orrrr...
Bring old clothes, and throw them out as you get done with them. Re-Stock your wardrobe as needed.
Another option: mail the dirty laundry home!

We ran out of cash last year. :shemademe_smilie: So bring more than you will think you need. :hun: Paying cash helps greatly at the vendor village! :coffee: Didn't wash "WALL E" till we got home. Got rid of my old undies along the way. :yikes: Pay your credit cards before you leave. Tom :spyder:

I almost forgot...
If you're at Joe's hotel: don't forget to bring your "Singing Voice"! :2thumbs:

Back to Joe's original post: I have tried to work out a design for some cards through Vista-Print, and I just can't get it to come out the way that I'd like... :banghead:

...and for those coming from overseas:

A couple of tips....Two bags as big as the airline will let you get away with. On the way in last year I put one inside the other.
The bare minimum of clothing. Plenty of good looking T-shirts etc. will be bought anyway! Don't eat for a week beforehand!
If you can get a cheap fishing vest/gilet to wear on the flight, like the one pictured, you can get your carry-on stuff and flight docs.
in it and it won't be classed as luggage.....
