• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just switched 5 days ago ( free offer ) and have had two issues....... the skimpy info given as to how to operate it.......I had windows #7 and #10 is quite different. It seems faster. The one thing I have found is when typing messages on this forum, something takes over after typing about 20 character, and it reverts back to the start of where you began typing .....annnnd it's dyslectic ......I can correct it but it's a real pain..........Mike

If you can get it now for free...................take it.................after you get used to it, it works fairly well.

I have yet to install it on my systems as my work laptop does not run it. I will likely upgrade my home systems when my company decides to move to it. Rather keep them all the same than have to switch back and forth.

For the moment, there is not much win 10 can do that win 7 cannot so no big reason to migrate.

Win 7 support has several years to run yet. No mandatory upgrade for a long time. Heck Win XP was just EOLd last year....

Business pcs are still being sold with win 7 installed and they each come with 3 yrs contracted support. It will be around at least that long.

Yup! :agree: The Download is free... I just don't like that Microsoft stuck the "button" for it on my toolbar without asking me. :gaah:

They snuck that in with a Security Update. If you don't want Win 10 (I don't) there are instructions on the Internet about how to uninstall the nag.

Searching winsupersite.com is a good start.

Thanks! I'll do some digging around tomorrow, if the football games are too boring! :D

I am running windows 7 home edition still. When I get the time I will do a install of Windows 10. If you upgrade before July 2016. Deanna
