• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dam***it Jim - Just got my helmet stolen

After 15 years of riding, just got my helmet stolen, same place I got my Spyder licenses plate stolen 6 months ago- I'm a slow learner I guess. Luckily it was my old beat up helmet that had my old cheek pads with makeup caked in and it and had a couple of cracked air vents glued back on it. Plus it was a xxsmall, good luck finding someone that can fit into that!!!! I have a couple of newer replacements thank goodness. I just ordered a lidlox helmet lock.

Guess the F3 just attracts to much attention :)

:gaah: In a perfect World: they'd find out how well it holds up in a serious crash! :gaah:
Sorry to hear that it got lifted; the LidLox will be a great addition to your bike!

Wow, that sucks! I guess I'm lucky. During 37 years of motorcycle riding, I have never had a helmet stolen. And I leave mine sitting on the seat when I park.

Sorry to hear about your helmet

Pam

I got my lidlox because i didn't want to take a chance

After 15 years I guess I ran out of luck. Its ok, my fault and I started to collect to many helmets anyway so I look at it as donation to the needy!!! But as an xxsmall I am pretty sure it will turn up on craigslist, if it does I will go and say "thanks for finding my lost helmet"!!!!

i always carry a extra helmet just in case some idiot decides to do the same thing. i really hate people sometimes.

My experience is the same as Pam's just a few more years. I have decided that the world has changed quite a bit and I have some pretty expensive electronics in the helmet so I have started to lock it up when I leave Charlotte.

Sounds like they actually did you a favor!

Yes, I know I need to work on my sympathy aspects.

Helmet thief's

I had my helmet stolen after a 15 min visit to the Harley dealership after buying a new 2014 Street Glide Special. It hurt my head to wear it. I hope the thief has the same results. The losers are out there---proceed with caution. Even ifthe helmet is junk--there is a certain feeling of being violated & not in a good way :-(

It's a PITA but I agree with Paul. Having the helmet and Sena stolen would be a real bite so I always lock it up unless it's a dash in at a store and then I have no problem going in ATGATT. It gives the wonderers something to chew on.

Doesn't anyone use the frunk? I can fit two helmets in there with no problem. No worries about theft or sun-baked helmets when I return. I'm a firm believer in an ounce of prevention. It only takes a few extra seconds to stash them away.

Bummer..!!

sorry to hear. Some no nothing no doubt..:banghead: anyone with half a brain would see this is a well used helmet with lityle resale value...
If you leave your helmet on the seat unlocked get a RidX sticker...:roflblack: though they may already have lice...:yikes:

Unless you have a shorty half helmet, it is not going to fit up front or in the saddle bags of the F3.

Sorry to hear it Tazzel. Humans suck sometimes. Stealing someone's safety gear is repugnant. I have gotten into the habit of carrying the helmet in with me when I go to a place I will lose site of it.

Helmets don’t fit in the F3 Frunk. I have a helmet lock on order. Never needed one before but times a changing. I had one witness that said it was two young white men that he saw running across the parking lot with a helmet and got into a 4 door red car. He did not get a license place but thought to himself. "Why are 2 guys running across the parking lot with a helmet"?. He turned in the direction of where they were running from and saw my F3 and knew but it was to late to get plate number.

You must have a really small head. I cannot get my Arai in the trunk or side cases. After 64 years of riding ( the first 20 without a helmut) I have never had anything stolen including my helmut. I guess it pays to ride a Harley with a "Patched Club" for most of it. Always left jacket, vest and helmut on bike.

I got lucky - my helmet fits in the F3 frunk. HJC IS-16 full face XL with sena 3s attached to side of helmet. Used frunk for just helmet and gloves until I mounted luggage - now I use top case to store jacket/helmet/gloves during warm weather stops.

I must have the only helmet that fits in the F3 frunk. HJC IS-16 full face XL with sena 3s attached to side of helmet.

Sorry for your loss

Never tried that direction but that means I have no room for anything else. But nice to know it will fit.
