Mentioned (est.) 22 million motorcycles and all terrain vehicles in use in the US, yet the AMA was only able to collect 29,379 signatures in opposition to E15 to send to the EPA.
I know not everyone is against E15 but that sounds to me like a lot of people are not doing enough or expressing their opinion where it counts. AMA is a great organization but it needs your help in addressing issues that concern us all.
EPA will take final action by the end of November.

You can write to your members of congress directly or visit the Rights section on americanmotorcyclist.com to show support for the RFS Reform Act of 2015, (H.R. 704). What I found easiest is to join the AMA. Once a member they inform you of issues such as this ahead of time (E mail) and include links to do easy letters to those required. Your choice.

Anytime the Government has to 'Subsidize' something. It means people don't want it. So they take your money and use it to shove something down your throat that is usually a very bad idea. Then they take a bad idea and double down making it even worse than the original idea.

We are going to get E15 whether we like it or not. Even though it destroys engines, reduces power & MPG because you have to burn more to go the same distance and takes more oil to make than to make the same amount of straight gasoline. Not to mention that it diverts food that would otherwise be exported to people who need it.

As this ethanol idea gets worse. The government is afraid more people will discover the official propaganda is not true and they might start buying the cheaper (yet more expensive at the pump) straight gas. To prevent this, our government wants to shut off that escape route altogether. They want everyone to suffer equally. This petition does not thwart E15 for those who want to buy it. It simply tells the government that we want to continue the option of getting straight gasoline.

Intersting how they push for vehicles to get more mpg's and yet force the use of a fuel that limits this drastically...:banghead: ahhh government. Well, I see that you are correct. Thank you for reading the fine print at the bottom. So, if there is a current petition, I have not been successful in finding it.

Nah! Eat the corn first, then use solar energy to dry the cob, and then shove it up their *(&. That way they're less likely to mistake it's movement for a relieving feeling! :roflblack::roflblack:

Go to their web site to sign a protest to your Congressman, it sets up an email to them, you don't have to call Congress, unless you want to. Let's work towards keeping E15 out of our rides, better yet all of our engines!! No thanks to NASCAR either, they promote E15 and run it in all race vehicles. There are articles about the E15 battle in the monthly magazine from the AMA, which comes to you when to join. The corn lobby has a lot of money, it will be a tough fight, but worth the effort.

NASCAR isn't promoting E15 because they believe in it. They are promoting it because the government is taking money out of our pockets and giving it to NASCAR to promote it. It's amazing what you can do with other people's money.

Ethanol is bad. Everyone who knows anything about it knows this. But instead of getting rid of it (as would naturally happen in a capitalist economy) we increase it! Which is not surprising in a socialist society.

First I heard about the petition (which I guess is actually expired) and I have been riding for 44 years. On so few signatures....APATHY, simple APATHY. Same problem with gun control, over 100 million gun owners in the USA but only 4 million NRA members. Look at how few people vote anymore.

E15 is terrible for engines, I would sign a petition. I also agree with others...I think politicians generally ignore petitions and phone calls and do whatever the hell we want. It is the liberals pushing this crap....we need to vote them out of office.
