• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New winter home for my Spyder.

I have not been posting much lately, but try to check in a couple of times a week. We are doing Renos at our house, and the Spyder will get a new place to rest in the winter. Up until now it has spent the winters in the basement, I think this will be a nicer location. Riding was limited this year due to preparing for this project, but it will all be worth it in a couple of years when we retire and can ride whenever we want. Here are a couple of pics. Hope everyone had a great riding season and for those who are still riding, enjoy!:thumbup:

 :agree: You've got enough room for a full-blown infestation! :yikes: :spyder2::ani29::spyder2::ani29::spyder2::ani29::spyder2:
Here's to hoping that this very worthwhile project is completed soon!

Thanks guys, not as big as it looks in the photo, 20x20, but it will suffice for me! Have been waiting 25 yrs for an attached garage!LOL! Yes Bob, hoping it will be completed soon, cause as you know winter is just around the corner!:yikes:

John,
Do you have any space along the house, that could serve as a carport? :dontknow:
A structure like that, could easily be fully-enclosed.

And they're usually not too awful expensive to build! :D

20x20 is big for a Spyder! Are you putting a car in there, too?

It looks good!

Pest Controller Speaks

Has a experienced Pest Control Technician my only advice to you is make sure there are no gaps for mice or rats to get into your Spyders home to prevent damage to any electrical wiring on your Spyder. Has winter is approaching we are expecting a lot of call outs for rats and mice as they try to get into buildings to keep warm. We get the occasional call out to garages where rats/mice have got in and have chewed through electrical wiring on vehicles.

Good points! :2thumbs:
If you give them a place to hide; they'll be more than happy to use it! :banghead:
"Pest Control Technician"
Does that mean that you're "Bugged, by bugs"? :D

I always put steel wool in the exhaust and spread moth balls around the outside, seems to have worked so far. As will as traps, but will definitely make sure there is no opening for the damn critters to get in. Thanks for the advice.

this what i use now

but would love more room

Cuznjohn, that works, your Spyder is covered!:thumbup:I have been parking mine in the basement up until now, but ever since I built this house in 1987, I have been wanting an attached Garage. We figured better do it will we are working and can afford it.
