• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. RT Vent Kit Install???

Has anyone done a video on installing the RT Vent Kit? How much tuperwear has to be removed to remove the Acoustic Panels? What would a dealer charge to do the install?
Has been 3 weeks since I asked my dealer to see if it could be done under courtesy warranty and if not how much would you charge to do the install. Dealer never got back to me so I may do it my self.

Well

Tough to get a video done when in most cases the dealers are doing them for no charge under warranty. I would have to think that it might be time for a new dealer!

Rough guess says @ $70.00 in parts and 2 hours of labor for the vents.
If you you are talking the full job I'm guessing 1.5 - 2X the labor.

I was quoted locally $270.00 to order and put them on a 2014.

You have to remove the upper and lower lateral panels on both sides. To get them off, you need to remove the mirrors, the side wind deflectors, the headlight bezel and the lower access panels on both sides. It takes about 15 minutes to get all this off. Installing the scoops takes a bit of time to get things lined up, drill the holes and install the screws from the inside of the panel. The new struts are easy, just 2 screws.

Send me a PM with your E-Mail address and I will send you the PDF file Installation Procedure I have provided some 35 other members on doing the Install of the Vents. Also go to www.powersportswarehouse. com to order the Vent Kit (P/N 219800388) they sell it for $50.24.

Depends..!

always depends on whos doing it and how mechanical they are. Once you see what is involved you can get a better idea. The vents is only part of it cause if you don't remove the inner parts (replaced with those struts) the vents do little...take a day off and take your time invite a friend and make it fun and rewarding...

I think you only need to remove the mirrors, air deflectors and upper side panels. Then you can remove the acoustic panels an put in the strut. Oh and cut the holes bigger in the upper side panels. Don't see why the headlighr bezel needs to come off.

You are correct. I was also doing something else and pulled the headlight bezel and lower side panels.

It makes a great improvement in ride comfort. No more hot air blowing up from in front of the seat, no more hot console. No more hot glove box.

For less than $100 its a very nice upgrade.

Air scoops

Im having them installed by my dealer next week. Leo"s South in Minnesota. I agree with above, less heat at front of seat and in glove box. Too hot in glove box for anything including phone.

Your dealer doesn't know what he/she is talking about!

Trust they do help the heat under the tupperware otherwise why would BRP even have done them!

These scoops were part of the 2013 recall so of course they do something!
BRP has extended the scoops only part of the recall to other models for a reason.

I have a 2011 RTS/SE5, are all of the vent kits the same for all the years? Trying to make sure before I purchase.

I know my 1330 has no heat issues but it does run cooler in summer heat, glove box area cooler too. But the reason I put them on was I like the look of them. To keep me cool I just added an F4 taller, wider windshield with the adjustable vent same as my GW had. Blocks all the cool air in winter, lets it in in summer.
