• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2009 RS passenger room

I am looking to buy my first spyder. Pitbull Powersports here in town has a 2009 RS. It has both driver & passenger back rest. Was just wondering if anyone knows if there is plenty of room for a adult passenger. Trying to figure out if I need to wait & buy a RT. I like the sporty look but I don't want to regret buying the wrong one. Thanks

For sure..!!

There is plenty of room. I have an RS and changed to the comfort seat that gives the driver 2" more room passenger less. If it has both back rests it could have a custom seat. You would best try it out and see..maybe even a test ryde...:shemademe_smilie::ohyea:

Thanks for asking us but Pitbull wont steer you wrong, knowledgable staff for whatever your you spyder questions may be:firstplace: Test ride may be best option if both adults can find time, then you could try both RS &RT get idea of what suits you better:thumbup:

Thanks for your help. I went in & looked at it today. This weekend me & my buddy will go in & try them out. Hopefully I'll be riding soon

Would depend on how big the persons
arse is I guess? Why not both go sit
On it and try it out.

A test drive is recommended with your passenger aboard.

You may find the RT more comfortable if you are going to be doing a lot of two up touring. Once again test drive to make sure you like or don't.

Pitbull is a good dealer. That is a plus in your favor.

Found it

I went to Pitbull to drive the RS. Someone had it out while theirs was being worked on. They showed me a 2011 RT limited with all kinds of extras added. A 70 year old man just traded it in for a new one. I drove it & loved it. I'm all about adding accessories, but theres not a thing I need to do. Has more miles then what I would like, 35,000, but bought the extended warranty. I'm a happy camper. Thanks everyone for your help. Great place to deal with.:2thumbs:

How big is the passenger ????

I have a 2008 GS it is the same as RS, my wife is 5'5" and is 138 LBS ( for Gods sake don't tell her I said that )
and I can tell you if she were much bigger she would not fit there very well. I am using a Corbin seat pan
with a Dave's custom seat and backrests I feel I am sitting to far forward but I like not having to have the
passenger get off when I have to put gas in it, and that is often most all Spyders only get about 25 to 27 miles per gal.
If your passenger is larger than say 5'8" and 150 it will be tight.... I am sure others will chime in on this one...
Ride safe
