• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The rear buttons are designed to work the entire system at the same time, you can control the front OR rear speakers through the radio setup controls. short answer the rear buttons do not control the rear speakers

I believe that the volume controls only work if you have the wired communications / intercom system installed.

The dealer explained that the passenger would have control of their volume separate of the driver, it would allow the rear speakers to be control by the passenger. He did say that if the passenger selects a different song or station it changes both. I will be bringing this up at our first service but wanted to make sure we where not missing something.

Thanks for your reply

It really helps when one READS the Manual. ;)

I quote!

The passenger audio controls
remotely increase or reduce the passenger

headset volume by using the
UP/DOWN button.
The radio preset station or the song
in an iPod mobile digital device can be
changed using the LEFT/RIGHT buttons."

Notice it specifically states HEADSET Volume!

The passenger volume controls ONLY work with the BRP wired headset system. To have that you have to have the CB and harnesses installed.

If you want to increase to decrease the rear speaker volume, you the driver can do that in the radio settings on the dash.

Got IT

Seems like I have been reading so much, I did not catch that about the headset. I'm going to blame that on my dirty glasses.
One down

Thanks again

It's kind of like the little "Pull to talk" trigger on the front of your left control pod...
I almost had my Missus believing that she had to wait until I engaged it, before she could talk!

ALMOST!! :roflblack:

It's ok, I had/have questions and everyone says post them here and then you have a select few that want to tell you to read the manual. They tend to forget that they too were new Spyder owners at one time. I too had this question and did tons of research because READING the manual doesn't answer ALL questions. I too was told the same thing then research showed as others have stated. I hope you are enjoying yours as much as we are.
