If they are discounting the 08 or offering some insintives i would probably go that route to save a few bucks for accessories.....

As for accessories at the time of purchase...This is rider preference. I wouldn't go all out on BRP accessories as there is so many aftermarket lower cost/ better products on the market. I would say put some miles on it stock see what you like/don't like and adjust accordingly. I have a long list of all my accessories in my Signature for what i like and made me comfortable.

Extended Waranty is a definate if you plan on keeping the spyder over the 2 year mark.

welcome Have to agree with this gentleman 100%. Only option I got was the backrest for the wife. :shemademe_smilie: Others have been added and that's part of the fun.

I did the exact same... Bought an 08 brand new in crate 6 weeks ago. The 08 and 09 are essentially the same. My dealer updated the brake pads to the 09 spec. Still got the base 2 year warranty. Saved about $1250 going with the 08.

I'm glad I saved the coin on the 08 and it allowed me to spring for my Givi bags through the dealer at time of purchase and get the lower sales tax on that part of the purchase.

No Regrets after 700 miles.

House is quiet real quiet.There is a yellow SE5 in the garage.The queen ain't talking.No backrest,no stereo,no Harley sound.She thinks I've lost my mind.I enjoyed the 60 mile ride home.Kinda like riding on the front of an f16.Really wish the shield was on as well as the risers.That would give me a better opinion.

This is just a loner more to follow,

Extended warranty is possibly the BEST accessory backrest , foglights exzost if you want her to be hurd on road highway pegs...

Might have a bit of a wait for the BRP seat. I thought you liked heated seats?

The story continues.I went ot dealership today and it was open house.I have helped the owner in the past on these demo days.Guess what?I sold an se5 to a guy my age with the same thinking I have.The Rep's were there and I asked questions and got few answers about a "touring model" etc.They did say the seat and bags and windscreen should be available any minute.

Yea Dude I am still leaning towards Corbin heated but it's big money.So you will be hearing from me again.Did hear them say that sales were up and SE5 was tied with SM5 in sales.
