• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can't start F3

So I am a TOTAL noob.....I mean TOTAL.....LOL!! So I got my F3 today and I went to start it and I can't get it to start. I turn the ignition on......let the dashboard do its thing......hit the mode button and push the start button and nothing happens. I can see on the dash that it is in 1st gear so I am assuming that it won't start in first gear. I have semi automatic version so I push the paddle shifter in the minus direction and it won't shift into neutral. How do I shift into neutral without being able to start the machine?? :banghead::banghead: Any help would be appreciated.

Foot on brake? Should start in any gear, ECM should take care of that. The Manual is full of great info, not all of it obvious! Good luck!

5 STEPS

1. INSERT & TURN KEY
2. PRESS 'ECO' (GREEN) BUTTON ON THE LEFT
3. PRESS 'KILL' SWITCH TO THE 'ON' POSITION, RIGHT HAND SIDE, ORANGE BUTTON
4. STEP ON BRAKE PEDAL
5. PUSH START BUTTON, RIGHT HAND SIDE....

ALSO, remember when shifting into REVERSE to keep your foot on the brake pedal...

good luck, and ride safely....

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new F3. Glad they were able to help you so quickly.

Give the manual a quick glance, not the greatest read, but lots of good information.

We never read manuals until we have a problem.

That's me anyway.

I guess for him the site was an easier answer:dontknow:

The first couple :spyder2::ani29: I bought had a 6 month or so wait. I got the manuals and read them over the winter wait. It helped with the no :spyder2: to ride feelings. By the time I got the last one, I glanced, but did not do much full page reading--unless I needed something specific.
