• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I went out riding Sunday night and found some interestingforested roads which are hard to find in Northwest Illinois. They all center on the Penny Road Pub on Penny Road in Barrington.I had a good burger at the Pub and there were a good number of bikes parked inthe lot. One was a 1947 HD. Penny road has several cross streets that are fun toexplore such as Algonquin, Sutton, Bartlett, Rout 68 Dundee, Higgins, ShoeFactory, and Brinker roads. traffic was very light, I just had to watch for deer.

I know not everyone lives in my area, but I am sure you have your favorite riding areas to.

Fairview Canyon to Schofield turn left at the top,or Fairview to Huntington turn right at the top. US 191 Helper to Duchesne. Nebo loop scenic byway. And on and on and on.Too many to list and besides some of them are "secret"

Tough one..!!

Any road outta town....:ohyea::ohyea:and into the hills. About four blocks from the house.....:2thumbs:

I enjoy traveling around Missouri and Kansas. I recently wrapped up going through every county in Kansas and taking a picture of each courthouse. I have about thirty counties left in Missouri. A little secret I found out traveling in Kansas. Very little of it is actually flat. In Missouri, I enjoy riding around the lakes and down south. Just got to watch the bugs during harvest in Kansas and bigger critters around the lakes.

Sometimes, the unexplored stuff in your "backyard" can be great. The country North and West of Rockford is not to bad either.

If you venture a bit North into S. Wisconsin--its all rolling hills, farmland, and even dotted with Amish areas.

I have lots of "good stuff." When visitors arrive, I share if they are interested.

During harvest ??!! Like always maybe. This is hopper heaven, sometimes I'm amazed how much
bug can be on my screens and STILL this thing won't overheat. Oh, let me know when you come back to KS,
I can always do a day trip.

You're right on about the grasshoppers and the not overheating. I will probably not get back your way this year unless we have some good weather in November. I will holler when I do. Maybe we can get some other Kansas Spyders to ride along.

Almost any road in Brown County, but, on the way from Bedford, just off the junction of 37 and 52, is 450. This one was laid out by a drunk snake! There's tree tunnels, curves, hills, small towns (Dover Hill has 9 90 degree curves inside the town limits), and when you get to 50, about half a mile east, is a 50's style drive in with the best catfish sandwiches around!

UTAH--Hwy 12, 191, Bryce, Zion, Devils Backbone. So many great places it is hard to list all. And I am from Colorado.

Lucky Me

There are too many to name as I leave between the Sierras and Pacific Coast but here are a few:

1.) Highway 1 from Morro Bay to Monterey.
2.) Highway 49 anywhere.
3.) Highway 128 ( past Lake Berryessa down into the Napa Valley)
4.) Highway 25 from Hollister to Kings City.
5.) Highway 4 over Ebbets Pass.
6.) Highway 1 From Jenner to Fort Bragg
7.) Highway 101 from Legget to Eureka.
8.) Highway 101 from Eureka to Lincoln City Or.

...and there are so many more in Northern California, and I can RYDE most of them 12 months a year.:yes:

When/if you have the time, you need to head North into Wisconsin or Northwest into that corner of Illinois.

Sierra Nevada

ALL those Sierra Nevada passes. Almost to many to name and I'm right in the middle of them. Most closed in winter except the one closest to me ( Mt. Rose Pass). Oh yea, Lake Tahoe mid week only.

Traffic causes me::::
Kaos

My favorite local ride is through Lake Mead National Recreation Area. It has water views, mountains, curves and they just repaved 80% of it. Little or no traffic during the week makes it even better.
