Looking for suggestions for driver cup holder for GS with manual transmission. Trying to figure out how best to work around the clutch reservoir so I don't have to reach across to the right side.

I've got mine on the right side but I've got cruise control too.

Unfortunately, I've got my phone on the right side, and will be getting a throttle lock over there as well. Not ready to tackle putting cruise on it.

I will check it out. Thanks!

It is a stock screw that holds switch assembly on
Notch on drink holder fits perfect giving good stability

I'll check the Internet for pics. Most of the ones I've seen that work with the switch assembly, won't work on my bike because of the clutch.

Cup Holder and Phone holder

Hi Dave here
I have the same rig you have 2008 GS, I have made so many mods to it is hard to tell what it is
I use the Drink to go holder it works great and is cheeeeep you can see the web address for it in
the pictures. not sure bit I think I paid about $12ea. for them I bought 2. also if you look
on the other side you will see the super phone holder I sell they are water proof you can see your
phone it is adjustable, I use my iPhone 6+ as a GPS as well as a phone and I listen to iHeart and Pandora
Cup holder and phone holders are easy to put on and get off fast with NO TOOLS no drilling holes
or messing with anything. the phone holders depending on the phone start at $35.00
Ride Safe

Unfortunately, I can tell by your pics that cup holder won't work where I want it because I have a clutch. Thanks for the suggestions though. I all ready have a phone mount that works great, but I may have to rethink phone placement in order to get a drink holder on there.

Thanks again!

Strange, I have one on my ST1100, it has a clutch and it fits around the bar and clears everything just fine

I don't see the clutch or clutch reservoir in those pics.. Maybe I'm just not looking at it right. Either way, I've ordered the cup holder and if it won't work, I'll just switch it with my phone and put my phone on the left side. Thanks for your help!

This one is pricey but...........

Lamonster has one that is top quality but is a little pricey! It's true that you get what you pay for. This is a high quality unit with extra features. It looks good on the bike too. Go look at it. If you have a 30K bike do you really want a $12.00 cup holder?

Wish I had a $30K bike. LOL...but I'll go look at it. Thanks

Lamont does have great stuff.. The reason you don't see a clutch on the Spyder is because there is none I was just showing you
an inexpensive way to put a cup holder on almost anything I use the one like the pictures on my HONDA ST1100 & ST1300
it clears the chutch lever and res. just fine on them. And YES it's true you get what you pay for
