• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Extra junk in your frunk?

I wonder why BRP didn't make the frunk liner deeper. Note in the picture below that there is 3-4" of room not used. They could have easily used this extra room and still have plenty of airflow for the radiators. (I took my front screen off for cleaning. It is an excellent bug catcher!)

Wow..!!

I'd say your lucky you got what you did.. You need to move that air and need some space for better flow. Things must get toasty in there...:roflblack:

Is there some way to prevent all that mess ?

Note that the side of the bike that is closest to the side of the road gets more bugs. The vast majority of my riding is through rural farm country so bugs are everywhere.

I sprayed some hydrogen peroxide on that area and let it sit for a few minutes and almost all of it washed out with a low pressure hose. I also backwashed the radiators (outside to inside) and blew the bugs out of the radiators. All clean now!

The front grille only has 4 bolts so I will probably clean that area more often now. What that picture shows is 100 hours of riding in bug-infested conditions.

Here are some pictures of how far I removed the tupperware to clean my Spyder. I plan to do this every 100 hours or so. It takes about an hour to take all of that stuff off. Maybe faster next time since I know what I am doing now.

If they extended the trunk into that area there would be no room to hide your drugs and guns....[emoji33]

Screen

I would put some kind of screen behind the grill to keep all that s-- t out. Jmho.

I take it the fan pulls the air in through the rads?? I thought there was an opening for the air the naturally flow through the rads when you are driving...that is really surprising the way they have it set up.

My understanding is the air comes in the front grille and is channeled out the sides. When the fans kick on they throw heat out towards the tires.
