• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Radio

I had a similar feature on my Goldwing, but it let you set what speed the bike should be going when the auto volume kicks in.
What year was your 'wing? My 2015 didn't have any speed setting at which at auto volume kicked in. It acted the way same way I explain it acting on my Spyder.

Indeed

Go with the better speakers (BLUEKNIGHT911) or bluetooth it. I find that through the helmet speakers is the best..jmo not crazy about piping music to the whole neighborhood...:roflblack:

:agree: There is nothing more obnoxious than someone blaring their lousy music at 1000 decibels as they drive down the road. With most Bluetooth Helmet Comm. systems you can even receive FM radio stations in the privacy of your own helmet. I use a BOSE headset in my helmet and the sound is crystal clear, and it cuts out most road noise. Even if you have JBL speakers, nobody wants to hear Rush Limbaugh turned up to "Eleven!":roflblack:

It was a 2012. It's been awhile, but I recollect having some control over which speed the volume increased.:dontknow:

Funny thing is, I picked it up in August 2011 and set the auto volume a day or two later, then never touched it after that. So it's been four years since I looked at it.

A Bose Headset Inside your Helmet???

That would be an excellent solution. I'd love that setup. But how did you fit a Bose ANR headset inside your helmet? What model Bose headset do you have?

When I use my Schuberth C3 helmet, I can fit my Bose noise-cancelling earbuds in the ear before I put the helmet on. I then stream very good sound quality music from my phone. Its wonderful. I also just bought a new-to-the-market Quiet Ride helmet with inner pumpup earmuffs to squelch wind noise, but that helmet will not permit the Bose earbuds.

I dislike the sound from my new RT SS speakers...forget musical tones... but it is acceptable to listen to news, but I too don't like to entertain the neighbors. The Spyder RT SS has a lower windscreen than the other RT models, so I am getting more wind noise than everybody else.

Not Noise Canceling

These are not noise canceling but they do protect the ears from the wind noise. I can still hear cars honk etc. I place them in my ears and they fit really snug. I wear an Full Face Arai helmet which is already pretty quiet, put the helmet on and they fit comfortably, sound great (yes you can hear the bass) and I can hear my wife better on the Comm. Now keep in mind this may be against the law in some states, including California! But I gotta be able to hear "Born to Be Wild"

I wanted to get the Bose Noise Canceling set but that big box that is right next to the plug, that plugs into the helmet would be rattling around your head all the time?? How do you deal with that?

Nothing plugs into my helmet. Bose earbuds in the ear, and that cord is plugged into my phone, which is in my pocket. My phone has an app for music.

I don't even use the radio for this reason. I hate having to crank it up so loud to hear bits n pieces. I use my cell phone and listen to music with earbuds. My wife does the same, but she likes to use "I Heart Radio". To each his own I guess. I like my windshield down all the way for the breeze in my face (and so I don't have to look thru two plastics)

I think I'll try that first before buying some helmet/bluetooth combination.

Thanks
-Bill
