• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am associated with a group that calls themselves the New England Riders. This is a not brand specific group centering around a forum similar to this. One person assembled over years the Best Roads in New England. The site has downloadable GPX files with all of the information on the site. This is with out a doubt the authoritative site when it comes to Motorcycling in New England.

I have nothing to gain, other than sharing this information with you. If you are planning a trip to New England, check it out

I grew up in RI and highly recommend the Newport area ride. Mansions are gorgeous, lots of good food,
and always a fun time. Just my 2 cents from a prior local.

I wish a site like this existed in Illinois. I live in the burbs of Chicago and I can't get away from the traffic, even late night.

I'm not too sure about Newport, R.I.
The traffic in R.I. sucks just about anywhere in the state. I spent 55 years there and wouldn't care if I ever went back there.
Bad roads, bad traffic, and bad drivers.

I will vote for some of the Vermont roads, although some of them are a bit rough......but the scenery is a million times more pleasant.

HI Willie, I checked the above link, and looked at the Vermont, I did not see Route 100 North/ South as a route to ride. I would recommend the Route 100 North/ South. I was born and raised in Vermont, and have ridden on a lot of the routes that you suggested.

People can send me pm's about the Vermont routes. Deanna

Sorry you only saw the bad side of the Ocean State:shocked:. Ocean Drive is gorgeous year round:ohyea:...and not much traffic. Bad roads in downtown
Newport are called cobblestone roads and they are made to be that way:yikes:. Bad drivers? Guessing you have never driven around Bostonnojoke. Lol.
Luckily New England has a lot of different flavors to offer to visitors. :roflblack:

I agree.....Ocean Drive IS absolutely gorgeous. It's just getting there that's tough.
But I DO know R.I.
Lived and worked there for 55 years....worked for Ma Bell....I know every road and street and cowpath.
