Storage bin lid is stuck

I turn the key, pressing it down and turning counter clock wise, but it won't open. I did just jam a bunch of groceries in it. :yikes:So I wonder, do I break it open and get a new lid, or wait until next week when I get back from vacation and get a mechanic to jimmy it open some how? There is a chicken and cat food in the bin :shocked:

do you mean the frunk?

do a search for how to get it open If you stuff it, it causes issues, but I think there's a way to jimmy it. I think there's even a youtube video on how to get it open.

I had the same thing happen with groceries. It was packed tight in the bin, and it would not open by just turning the key. Since I was by myself, I had to do some acrobatics. I pushed the lid down as much as I could at the latch area, reached for the key, pushed it and turned to unlatch the bin. It worked, and I was able to get my groceries out. When I felt it unlatch, I held the key in place while I lifted the lid open.

Press down on lid to relieve pressure and hold then turn key. This happens when I cram too much in also.

sometimes my F3 frunk does not want to close. I have to use my finger nail to push the latch over to the side so the Frunk pin will incert. I am wonder if I should spray some WD40 in there?

Adjust the pin over.

Thanks for reporting back, it is always good to know when a problem is fixed. I almost always have to push on the lid of my front trunk, it is a good thing that I have long arms and can do it without much problem.
