• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. How much Ride On

I am about to install a new rear tire on our bike, a 215/60R-15 GENERAL ALTIMAX RT. Looking on the "Ride On" web sight is suggests 13-14 oz. is that what everyone is using?

Kent.

I've always used the recommended amount, and then some on all the motorcycles I've owned and all the tires I've had mounted. More is better than less. On my Spyder, I emptied (4) 8 oz bottles into the three tires.

I think the 13 to 14 oz. seems like what I used on my first tire.
Pam......sounds like you could use a little more in each tire. 3 into 32oz = 10.6 oz. :dontknow:

are you doing car or motorcycle formula? I just talk to customer care at ride on & was told they are working on better new formula & to wait till 1st of August to order. I run car type. You get more for money

Thought I purchased the "Car" formula, but just looked at the bottle and it's the Motorcycle formula.
Guess I need to order another bottle because all I have is 8oz. :banghead:

Since the Spyder runs a car tire. The car tire Ride-On works better than the motorcycle version. They are different formulas and the car tire version is less expensive too.

Been a while for me since I did it, but pretty much followed the mfg recomendation and maybe a smidge more. It has saved my bacon and well worth it in my opinion.

So wheres the best place to purchase Ride-On from? Amazon only lists the motorcycle formula and I had to return the one I bought because the bottle was damaged and leaked.

I just bought some from the "Ride-On" website. No problems and fast shipping. I ordered the automobile formula, but haven't installed it yet. Spyder is in for service, but I'm going to install it as soon as I get it back.

I followed the instructions. So far so good. I do believe that this product helped us at least twice so far. And like mentioned above, it is not slimy for when the tire needs to be removed from the rim.

This also works great in our portable generator tires, dolly and wheel barrel. The added benefit we enjoy, less wheel vibration...

You don't put as much in the front tires as you do in the rear. If you look at the chart on Ride On web site, look up our tire sizes you will see. I put just the right amount in each of the front tires, and in the rear tire.

I put the motorcycle formula in mine. I'm under the impression my Spyder came with motorcycle tires from the factory. :dontknow: It's working just fine.

When I switch over to car tires, I'll use the car formula of course.
