• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Greetings to all.
i just purchased a Can Am RTS and am looking for a way to mount the Zumo to it. It looks like I'll be using a ram mount with a ball to mount it to the center console. I don't know which mount to purchase. Can someone help me?
Thanks
its a 2015, my dealer only has the mount for the one they sell with the bike, mine is a different model number

Here are pictures of how I mounted the Garmin 390 on my 2015 RTS. I also mounted an XM received on the left side.

It a little more work drilling holes in the ball mount but it give a nice clean way to run the wires.

Hope this help

Take a look at this link for all kinds of options for mounting.

The BRP mount does not come with the wired in GPS cradle mount. The wiring and cradle mount come in the biox with your GPS.
You mount the GPS to BRP's Mount in the middle of the handle bars and you can either wire thr GPS to the spyder or have your dealer do it for you.
The BRP mount comes with wire and a plug to wire the GPS into the spyder.

Yeah, but will it work with Zumo 390? The product description says it's for the 590. I have been very curious about this myself.

According to the Garmin web site, the mounts for the Zumo 390 and 590 series are very different.

Also, the zumo 660/665 mounts that came with pre-2015 RTL's does not work with the newer Zumo 590, although the mounts look very much the same. (If it did, I'd have a Zumo 590 on my Spyder tomorrow. :sour: )

Between the BRP mount and the device, it costs about a grand to get GPS on a Spyder. I'll just stay with my Redneck GPS (Mapquest and a printer) for now.

This is what the mounts look like, Zumo 590 on left, and 390 on right. As you can see they are very different.
