• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Vibration problem maybe solved

I have had the same problem with vibration at 68 to 74 since I got my F3. It was not something that would sour me on my Spyder, but it was annoying. I ordered the belt tensioner from Baker Air Wings about a month ago and installed it last weekend. I have gone on 4 rides varying my speeds up to 90 and have had no vibration at all. I did have to make a couple of adjustments after talking to Bruce . Went to a 2" shorter spring and needed a 2 3/4" bolt instead of the 2 1/2" that came in the box for the upper pulley. Just make sure you get the belt centered between the ridges of both pulleys. Bruce at Baker Air Wings was very helpful in walking me thru any questions I had. I hope this solves the vibration problem once and for all.

Please share why you needed 2" shorter spring and 1/4" longer bolt. Unique to you or the way it should be for everyone??????

I believe Lamonster and Bruce determined the spring needed to be a little shorter for the right tension after Lamonster's test trip. I needed the longer bolt in order to correctly center my top pulley. The original one would probably work, but I felt more comfortable with more thread for the outside nut. If you look at the instructions sent with the belt tensioner you will understand.

I have ask several people including Bruce for details on the installation and no one will reply.... Could you give some insight to it? Does it use existing mounting or does it require drilling into the frame?

No drilling in frame. You will have to redrill a 3/8" hole in plastic belt guard and cut 3" off of front plastic belt guard. I promise you this tensioner is not difficult to install. Everything you need comes in the box. I now have a vibration free Spyder.
