At SF I purchased a LED modulator kit. I asked that if I wanted to use it with incandescent could I use a relay to protect the unit from the overload. He said yes.
I wanted to use it on my 622 trailer, but they have the brake lites and the turn signal combined. I think that with a couple of relays, I could "trick it".
I called Rivco to talk to tech support to find out what the max amps on the unit would be. Apparently, they don't have any tech support and now say no relays only the LEDs. I asked for the company that they buy from maybe talking to their tech support. Can't do.:banghead:
IMO you would save money by getting their electronics on ebay, the level of support after the sales couldn't be worse.
That being said any of you electronic wizards have an idea what I could get away with load wise?
