Default Few questions if ya have second, guys.. thank

Hi guys, hope you have enjoyed the Eastern break and did some cruising with the F3.
I have few questions after I did some km on my bike.

1 - the service interval is about 5000 km that is approx. i believe around 3.000 miles.. have some of you did earlier service - I am thinking to go to service the bike at 1.200-1.500 km, coz I believe it is better to change the oil erlier then at 5.000 km.. what is your opinion.?
2 - sound from breaks.. do you have the same feeling, that when I am in low speed - really low 5-10km i can hear the break pads are kind of touching the discs.. i dont think I was to heavy at begging to breaks to make them twisted or so.. so the question is, is this kind of normal, or not really.?
3 - have some of you made some modification to turning lights at the back.? without removing the rear bumper.? if so, can you share some ideas.. i kind of dont like them.. well I do, but i think it can be a bit better.
4 - USB - have some of you installed the USB to f3? dealer gave me some options, but I am not sure. any ideas where its the best place to go with.? thanx
5- its more like comment that a question, but i hope i did not make a mistake installing heated grips when I want to replace the short reach handlebar but generally the dealer did not warn me by doing this even he knew i want to change them..

thank you in advance for any comment..

I also own an F3 recently delivered.

I will change the oil at 1000 km and observe if there is any particles released on the filter just in case.

My F3 has no issues or noise with the brakes, so far so good...

For USB connection, I am looking also for alternatives...

    Default hmmm

Thanx, I will think about it. shame I did not see those USBs before I have ordered mine for 32Eur
BTW: I just came from dealer. They told me, that the noise from the breaks when I am pushing the bike by myself its normal for BRP spyders. Its kind of related to ABS... i will try to record the noise and post it here, if ya have the same problem as well.

    Default Let's see..!!

Oil change on the F3 is first one at first service 3,000 miles. After that at around every 9,000 miles. I would still do it at between 3-5,000 miles. Oils start breaking down around 4-5,000 miles.
Sounds from brakes could be needs more time to set in. Your parking brake could be to tight or dust/dirt. Wash disc off with brake cleaner.
USB location is your choice, there are several locations depending on the use.
Don't know about the tail lights. Nothing aftermarket yet..
Congratulations on your new ryde.. enjoy it and be safe over there...

RE: Oil change break in service.

It seems that most are waiting until the 3000 mile point to do the service. Mine was done at 4,500 miles due to scheduling conflicts. About a month and a half of driving that time.

Early oil change is surely not a problem. Waiting a bit longer than 1000 kms might be advisable though. This extra time will give the machine a better chance to "break in" and if there are any gremlins, a better chance to show up. The 1330's have been pretty much gremlin free to date.

Cost is another factor. We pay on average $325 US for an oil change/checkup service. The next servicing is recommended at 9300 miles later (12,300 miles on odometer) and then 9300 miles later or once a year--whichever comes first.

Your choice and more frequent oil changes can't hurt.
