    Default Performance muffler replacement

Some of you have been asking if I had these in stock now for the 1330. We have good stock and for the F3 it really wakes it up and sounds great. Easy install compared to the 998. Price includes shipping in the US. http://www.shopspyderlovers.com/primary-muffler-replacment…/

That was my first mod and I love the sound and the feel. Still in the break in period so I can't speak to performance but in theory the reduced restriction should show an improvement. Fast and easy install (and had my "friend" Kenny shared his trick it would have been even easier.

I'm not exactly sure but I could find out. It's alot lighter than the stock muffler for sure. Should pick up a little lowend torque. I love the sound with a stock pipe.

It was the first thing I did after taking delivery on the F3. Simple install, once you get that last spring on. The secondary pipe seems to weigh at least 12-15 pounds, and the new pipe is as light as it looks. The new sound is great with the stock muffler. We were out riding this past weekend and I have been trying to place the sound it makes when I give it a good twist. Well, if you know what a WWII fighter sounds like, well that's what I hear.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1427772537.301274.jpg

I had a 998 with the CAT removed. Is this the F3 with CAT removed and stock muffler? I want to hear the 1330 with CAT removed and STOCK muffler. Thanks for the reply.

Guessing you want to hear an RT 1330 with the oem muffler and cat bypass.

FWIW, consider also, I believe the engine is detuned in neutral.

I was asked a few weeks ago for a sound clip. Let me see how the weekend turns out. If I can capture a video I will.

FWIW, I enjoy around 4500 rpm, especially under an overpass.

Talked with Lamonster this morning and he said the CAT bypass on the 998 is louder than the 1330. I would still consider doing that to keep it from sounding like a german military vehicle. Will possibly remove the CAT/Primary muffler if I can tell the difference.

Lamont said the F3 1330 sounds better with the CAT removed because it has a shorter OEM muffler. Makes sense.

I have a 2013 sts and I'm waiting for my cat delete hopefully to arrive next week. I had a custom exhaust made but I still have the stock exhaust. Im going to be making before and after videos of sound with custom exhaust and stock. With and without muffler delete. This would help many decide on muffler combination. Hopefully in HD quality.

Why are we now calling this a "Primary Muffler" instead of a Catalytic Converter or CAT. Is it not a Catalytic Converter?

Jack, I think it is exactly what BRP calls it, a Primary Muffler" There is a lot of gibberish stamped into the top of it and it only refers to "Noise Emissions" & doesn't say any thing about Smog emissions. On pics I have seen of some that have been cut apart, I only see baffles.

I ordered mine this week from Pitbull motorsports. They made several pipes this week. $349. Great price for custom made.

The one for the 1330 motor cost $299 but as far as shipping to Canada you would need to contact pitbull motorsports on Tuesday because they are closed on Mondays. http://www.pitbullpowersportsinc.com...Id=-3774&fpg=1

Any exhaust that was originally added to the bike before replacing the primary muffler will be able to bolt up to this new design pipe.
