    Default Input on Seat Color?

It's not a Spyder,,, but hey, you Spyder folk still have great taste.

OK. So here is the deal. As soon as I am physically able, I will be powder coating my trike until it is almost totally blacked out. I have already purchased and installed the dark smoke Baker Air Wings with the black powder coat frames, and I'll be putting on a shorter smoke wind shield too. So you get the idea. BLACK.

But here is my dilemma. I will likely get a different seat. And of course I thought black. HOWEVER I recently saw a Honda Shadow Phantom with a single saddle. The bike was totally blacked out, but the seat was brown leather.

I saw some pics of this seat that Lamont posted from Spyderfest and it got my juices flowing.

So,,,,, if you could pick a black seat or this brown saddle to go on a totally blacked out trike,,, which would you choose?

Hey Steve, for me I don't think the two tone seat would go as good as just the outside tone color. I think it would pop much better in one color, jmho.

    Thanks AC!
But you do like the brown versus the black option on a totally black bike?

    Default brown would be cool

if you could match your grips to it. maybe a matching fork bag too. just an idea. hmmm... just looked at the pic, not much room for a fork bag. maybe somewhere else on the front of the bike, like fork leg covers.

I would think same seat, but a combination of black seat with silver accents.

Okay Steve. Here is my input. Really like the design of the seat but my choice because your wing is so classy would be....

Same pattern design with a Gun Metal Gray on the perimeter and Black in the center of the design. Just my two cents worth.

IMHO. Hey, you asked. Brown seat on a black bike not my cup of tea. Now, a black and silver. Yes. As far as that two tone brown looks, I think it's awesome. Tom

I like the light brown, not the 2-tone. I've seen cars that were all black, but had a "saddle brown" interior. They're really sharp, IMHO.

But it's your opinion that matters most, of course.

Be sure to post a pic when you finish it.

Ok Steve........... this is ONE time I have to agree with Peggy. I'm thinking that style of seat with dark gray or dull black and gloss black insert. Plus, you could include your "Monster Army" emblem in the seat. You'll have a gloss black... and a powder coat finish with a seat that would be the same, but with a splash of "Monster Green" in it. Now ....ask Connie and let her make the decision!

I would think a lighter saddle or black and silver...I don't really think you could go wrong with a black bike..Have you seen the white/black combination? Or this one?black and silver ultimate.jpg

I think the brown seat is nice, but might need something else on the bike to offset it, like grips or something as mentioned above.

Of course...putting the brown seat on the black bike makes it a focal point. So if you make it a really classy seat, and use it as the focal point it will look great.

    Default As I see it..!!

saddle brown tooled would be great combo. That alligator two tone not so much. Now if the choice is between the black and that two tone you pictured have to go with the brown..that's my opinion....

Interesting. I hadn't considered that! I will have some green accent lighting... Hmm!

    Hi Steve!
I'm sorry that I'm not really looking in the same direction as you are...
But a Black and Silver Seat would look pretty darn nice!

    Way too slow Bob.
Will likely go back to work in a couple of weeks still on crutches.
Probably won't be riding until July. Maybe August.

I'm surprised you are even asking...
You said black themed... getting all your parts blacked out... and then considering to go with a TAN SEAT?!?!?!

I can see some Monster Green finishes here and there however....

    Default Have to Agree!

Tan would totally ruin the beautiful look of that trike! I would go black with a contrasting color like silver or grey.
