Default harborfreight 1500 lb motorcycle lift

Has anyone used this to lift their Spyder?
    http://www.harborfreight.com/1500-lb...lift-2792.html

There is a coupon selling it for $69.00. So I am trying to find out if it will work.

I think ted and dave have one of these, PM clincyspyder.

Has long as it goes lower enough to fit under the spyder I would have thought it would work fine.

    Default I sure hope so

I just bought mine a week and a half ago and expect to use it tomorrow to install the Bump/Skid mod. I expect it will work - I sure hope so.

Thanks Harry but there is no clincyspyder listed in the members and a search for that user name comes up with your post as the only listing.

That is the exact lift that I have and it lifts the spyder all the time. Bought mine with a $69.00 dollar coupon also.

I have this lift, it works great. Tools are always hit or miss from Harbor Freight. This lift goes on sale alot.
Hint: If you get it, the release pedal will lower the lift slowly if pushed all the way down and faster if just lightly pressed.

I use this same lift and also bought it with a coupon at Harbor Freight. It works great but you have to be careful to ease it down or it will drop your spyder faster than you can believe

I shortened most of the handle on mine so I could store it under a workbench.

My coupons say they are for In-store use only, plus I think the shipping on this would be prohibitive. Best bet is to find a H/F store.
    (many magazines include this coupon)

The website says it has standard $6.99 ground shipping option on all orders, so I put the lift into the cart and entered coupon code 99094294 in and that brought it down to $79.99 (couldn't find a coupon code for more than 20% off). That's still not a bad price if you don't have a store nearby, or it's inconvenient to get to.

I've had this lift for over 3 years, the hardest part about using it is, as stated, remembering to slam the "drop" pedal ALL the way down to lower it slowly, if you don't, it drops like a rock.

Here is a quote from a thread where I got my coupon code from :
    .
NOTE: I'm using a cheap Harbor Freight ATV/ motorcycle jack lift. Lyonsden has a coupon code to save $40 on this jack. It cost me only $60 delivered.

I have no idea if this code still works, but it never hurts to try. In case the picture does not open, the code # is 18412628 it automatically took off 40.00 for me. maybe.........

All we found was a 20% off coupon code making it 79.99 and then 6.99 for ground shipping. Coupon code is : 99094294 (unknown expiration date)

We dont need immediately so will watch for an even better sale

Has anyone that has Seal Floorboards used this lift? I am wondering since Seal Floorboards stick out as much as they do (a good thing) if the lift can get close enough to work properly.

Yep, it worked on my RTS when I installed the Seals this morning. I first jacked up the RTS to put her on jack stands, but I was a bit nervous when I took it off the stands to let the RTS down. Just don't push the jack in too far. It should be in just far enough so the front end of the jack pads goes fully under the frame of the Spyder otherwise it would be too close for my comfort.

It won't get close enough with Seals on an RT much to my disappointment.

Stillriding, it worked fine on my RTS this morning both before and after installing the seals RT SM5 DLX version.
