Can't afford any more down time. Hubby has to get back to work soon.

We have AAA RV/Motorcycle which we haven't had to use (knock on wood) but I have heard that it doesn't always work or isn't necessarily available nationwide. It may not be available at all in Canada.
All I know is Scotty the tow-truck-driver in Canada recommended we get it. He said there would have been no out of pocket cost for the Spydee tow.

Loved the pics from Jasper, Calgary, and the Parks. Have ridden through those areas a dozen times, and always spend days at and around Jasper (always in September tho !) - just love the area. Always take the tram to the the top for pics and REALLY fresh air!!
Too bad you missed Waterford (Canada's Glacier Park) - we went into the Hotel in full leathers at High Tea - all the waiters were in kilts - full dress. What a hoot.
Couldn't resist adding my favorite screen saver for comparison (again Sept.)
Have done the Brice/Zion ride many times too - before they closed the valley to non-park vehicles. I also rented a chopper and took my riding buddies for a dawn tour of Brice at dawn - they used to have tours, if you can find and afford one, I highly recommend it.
Have a safe ride home.

Are you and Jeff going to go through Yellowstone on your way over to Utah? Keep the information coming--it continues to be my first daily look at SL.com.

Hubby is riding a BMW R1200 GS. Hate to admit it, but his bike gets as many questions as Spydee does.
Glad you're enjoying the ride!

This is a beautiful place up here. Not many tourists, and such grand scenery. The beef is great around here is tasty too!
Happy to have you along on our adventures.

In Japser, we were going to take the tram to the top. We backed out because the clouds were low and ominous, with a wind. We made friends with a pack of German riders instead.
Would have loved to see you walk into High Tea in leathers!
Because of time down getting the bikes worked on, time is starting to be an issue. We skirted Glacier National Park, but never got the chance to enjoy it.
Think you went through at a better time than we. Beautiful picture!!!

Wish we could go through Yellowstone, but need to make up for lost time.
From the boarder of Canada, we hit I-15 and making a B-line for Sister's house in Utah.

Yup, a little down time is doing good. Don't realize how beat up you get on the road till you relax for a bit.
It's nice getting to chat with family again.

Just about. Both of us came from big families. Hubby visited family in Washington/Oregon and Alaska. Some of mine are in Utah. We planned the route to visit them.

From Tennessee
My wife and I made a similar trip in the early 70s in a Toyota station wagon, tent camping from Chattanooga, TN to Fairbanks and back, a total of almost exactly 13,000 miles (zigzagged by San Diego to visit friends). Always wanted to go again in a small RV, but Susan passed away 12 years ago before we could get around to going again. I just re-married last week and my beautiful new bride LOVES to ride on the SpYder! Maybe I can use this blog to convince her it would be the trip of a lifetime.
Thank you two for your beautiful photos and wonderful blog entries...I just discovered them this evening and have loved reading it all.
Safe riding the rest of the way!
Doug and Lorraine in Chattanooga
