GS Rear Tire Mileage at Replacement ?
This has probably been asked and answered before but I can't find it. At what mileage did you replace the rear tire? Thanks in advance for your response.

My first was at about 16K, my second, 20K miles later. That's a good question to ask, but it's different for all of us. Mileage on a tire is directly related to how one rides.
2008 GS SE5 in 2008
Traded at 43,000 miles for a left over
2010 RT SM5 in 2011
Traded at 57,000 for a left over
2014 RTS SE6 in 2015, which has 35,000 miles
Oct 19th, 2017, totaled 2014 RT while killing a Javaline
Dec 12th, 2017 drove a 2017 F3L home. What an awesome machine!
Never had any breakdown stranded issues.

Had to replace all three tires at only 9k miles... front tires wore excessive on the inside... service department is adamant that the alignment cannot be adjusted, which most of us know to be untrue... their suggestion was to rotate (swap out) the fronts occasionally.

Rear Tire mileage
Almost 10K and I ride moderately agressive when I'm alone, much more reserved two up.

13,800 and that was a little late. Should have probably done it at 13,000. Rotated the fronts when I changed the back.

I have 13+ on my rear tire 08 GS, looks like they'll go 10 more.
But i drive easy, don't need to impress any body with burnouts

I just picked up a new BF Goodrich G-Force Sport to put on the rear of my Spyder after nearly 12,000 miles on the stock tire. It is going to be installed this Friday. Not too shabby, when you look at the life expectancy of most motorcycle tires. I believe I will get a lot more life out of this new tire though.

OK, I'll be the odd-one-out:
First one at 4,500 give or take a few.
Second one at 9,500 give or take a few.
At least it was getting a little more between changes before I sold it.

If I could afford it every Saturday
And a set of wets in the garage

19K on the back, with ample show off. Fronts are 24K with nice even wear pattern. Back air pressure recommendation wears out the center vs even wear across the face (either that or the chinese tires are cr#p). Fronts are 25 psi and wearing nicely.

How much did it cost to have the tires dismounted and remounted when you rotated the fronts?

Ready for my 3rd tire at 30K miles...
The first lasted about 17K miles, I'm ready for another now at 30K miles. Both times the center wore out first. I run 28psi, and can't remember the last time I did a burnout, but I do cruise over 75mph on my daily commute to work.

If you Don't. Mind my asking, what did the G Force cost and where did you get it?

Rear tire milage
Not quite 15k miles to the wear bars for me. Fronts look like they will get 25k or more. 2008 GS 1/2 miles one up, 1/4 miles two up, 1/4 miles two up with trailer.

14K and little to no wear on tires as yet. 99% 1 up riding

I could have easily gotten 20K+ out of the rear but chose to replace it at 16K prior to a 6200 mile trip.
My fronts have 26K miles and counting. They are only worn slightly less than my husband's brand new tires with only 700 miles. They'll easily go over 30K.

On my 2008 GS I replaced the rear & fronts at 12K. the fronts had enough tread on them, I kept them as spares.
On spouses 2009, I replaced all tires at 12K since we were going on a long trip and I wanted new rubber all around. There was still about 4 to 5K miles on all of them.

So did they change the rim and tire combination? Or did they just move the whole wheel assy from one side to the other.
The reason I think Baja Ron is asking is because the tires are directional.

Changes at about 9000, but could have done another 2k on the tyre. Have to drive 300 miles each way to get service done so I could not face another 600 miles just to change a tyre. A good one should do up to 15k I think.

Yes, I knew they were directional and so did the tire guy, so the wheels got swapped to different rims.

I don't mind you asking at all, as that is what we are all out here for.
I got it from Tire Kingdom, with a customer loyalty discount from the manager, it was $115 and some change out the door. That is cheaper than the dealer wants for a stock tire.
I am going in the morning to have it put on. The dealer is making me sign a waiver because it is not a stock tire. They are going to charge 1 hour labor, and have to take it somewhere for balancing at about $20. I figure I will be getting out of there for around $110 or so. If I knew how to plan better, I would have gotten some Ride-On, and told them to use it and skip the balancing act.
