Lol, I hear ya. Actually we're just in Nashville visiting family, and we'd rather stay in our camper instead of any motel or hotel.
We actually do camp off grid with this trailer. It has solar power, and genny. Cheers!

Another beautiful fall day today. We went for a ride up to the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA to vist the exhibt on Lenape Indian art and history. It was a very nice exhibit. I enjoyed the bead work items, so intricate and colorful. Total miles for the day is 80 miles.

Rode mine to a new local BRP dealer to get the ball rolling on the front pulley recall. Hopefully goes better than my efforts with the last dealership ...

Installed Spyder Pops KOTT grill guards on my 2022 S2S. 3/32 drill bit, small ss washers and a right angle cordless screwdriver attachment made things much easier. Yup .. little washers should be included for grill attachment.

Took my new 2023 Sea to Sky out for the longest ride so far, 1.5 hours. I know I know, that's not a ride for a Sea to Sky but I am still getting used to the ride. Was a very nice ride with the heated seat and grips on. I really like the handling and comfort. Looking forward to longer rides with my wife in time.

Put the Route 129 shield on for the colder wx. Went for a short 30 mile ride, and filled up with 93 octane 100% gas. Got caught in some rain, so had to wipe her down.

Awesome suggestion using washers when installing the Kott grill guards. And the angle drill is a plus. Thanks, GDoc

I bet you freaked out. I know I would. Wait for the end of this short story, it happened to me. About a month ago I was riding my Spyder out of the garage and leaving for a ride with the motorcycle club, The Blue Knights, of which I'm a member. We had been riding up in the hill country, was a beautiful day. We were heading back to San Antonio and stopped for lunch in Bandera Texas for some great BBQ. After lunch we all were returning to our bikes, I noticed this long scratch on the left front fender, at first, I thought "What the front door". Trying to keep this clean. Anyway, I figured someone got too close, maybe a truck door, but there was another Blue Knight next to me; maybe someone intentionally scratched my Spyder. But who would do this? This scratch was about 12 to 14 inches long, deep into the fender. Was a long ride home. Arriving home, I found out what had caused the scratch to my Spyder. A loose piece of tile stacked near the Spyder was at the same height as the fender, and that caused the damage. Next project is a storage building in the back yard. GDoc

I replaced one of the PWM units in my jacket heat controller.
Controller is a 7yr old DIY unit. Found parts on Amazon.
Its getting cold in Northern Nevada and heated jacket and gloves are wonderful.

Went for a leaf peeping and lunch ride. The leaves here are in S.E. Pennsylvania are just about at peak color. It was a bit chilly and I wore my mid weight gloves. First bike I've ridden where the grips are not wide enough. I could feel the down shift lever against my index finger. Total miles for the day, 92 miles.

Today I took the Spyder for a last ride this season.
Not a long ride, just to shop for some fuel stabilizer due to the 95-octane unleaded E10 fuel we got nowadays. After I got what I wanted I stopped by the gas station and topped up the tank with 98-octane E5 fuel. I also put the amount of stabilizer in. Then headed home to make it ready for hibernation.
First, I gave it a good clean.
20231018_150848.jpg
Then it got on the Big Blue and lifted it off the floor.
20231018_155139.jpg
And finally, I covered it and put it on the tender.
20231018_160218.jpg
Riding season is definitely over for me, but I'm already looking forward to the next. Tomorrow I will be one day closer.

Sorry to hear that NorwegianRT. I’m lucky, living on the west coast of Canada on the lower mainland. I keep my RT licensed all year, but usually wind up using it about 10 months of the year.
Just curious about Norway and where you live. My father was born in Norway (somewhere near the Stordalen area). Is that anywhere near where you live?

Lee0123,
Here in Vermont the fall foliage is past peak.

Hi there Brucie !
After what my maps tell me, your father came from Stordalen near Trondheim, one of Norways larger cities.
Compared to me, who lives all the way south, he lives allmost half way up north. The green mark on the map is my town (Kristiansand) and the red is Stordalen.

Got the FOBO tire monitors on and changed the oil and filter yesterday. Then removed all the tupperware in preperation to install the new Garmin Zumo, NBV highway brackets, saddle bag lights to replace the OEM reflectors, Longhorn mirror light kit, A-arm lights, Spyderpops Ground Effects lights, and Dual USB charger. After going to our first rally in Maggie Valley, my wife went crazy and ordered all the things we "need" for the Spyder. BTW, I did not argue with her.
