If it were me, I'd just get any shade of Yellow that I liked and paint it...... Since you arn't trying for a color match ( ie. paint to correct a scratch on the yellow you have ) ... I would just shop for a yellow that appeals to you. ... Good quality Automotive paint is very in-expensive compared to Touch-up-direct paint ..... jmho ..... Mike

I don't think the factory "Classic" panels are painted, I believe the color is molded in. For rattle can painting, I would use Krylon Fusion, especially formulated for plastics. I have been using it for years on resin patio furniture and it holds up very well. You can buy it at Wal-Mart (limited colors at my local), Home Depot, even Amazon. I am not affiliated with any of the foregoing.

Edit: OK the wife says we've used this one, too: https://www.krylon.com/products/colormaxx/

The panels are not painted. They are solid yellow plastic.

Anybody try PlastiDip spray? I've seen some pretty decent paint jobs using the stuff. It's durable, yet can be peeled off if you decide to go another route.
Half a million miles, and I ain't dead yet.

I've never used it on a ryker plastic panel, but I have plastidip some tools (handles). IN some cases it held up well, in other cases it peeled off. I am familiar with painting, so I made sure to remove any coating and clean it, then dipped, then dried per manufacturer's directions. I've never used the spray.

I'm just wondering if you have to use that relaxer for painting ryker plastic parts.

For My spyder I went with adhesive foil, when i get tired of the colour, i just change it for somthing else, Painting is easier, but more permanent, foil can be tricky.
Just practice alot, to get a wrinkle free job, DO NOT buy cheap stickerfoil, invest in good 3m brand, you'll see that it's going to pay for itself.Spyder Mirrorcaps wrapped Close-Up.jpg
