The wife and i are going for a trip east this June .I have not used map quest or google maps for some time .What the h@ll happened it has all changed ,you need to log on to chrome ( which i already use ) and use free map apps .In the fine print it says it will change a whole bunch of stuff that i do not feel comfortable doing .

IF you're just looking for maps, Google Maps is great. If you want to create a route to load onto a GPS, take a peek at the MyRoute App. Very easy and free. Just plot the points to create the route you wanna travel, then connect and upload to your Garmin or TomTom

Please Install the new free Map Finder for Google ChromeŽ
to get your maps and driving directions. You're almost done!
Click "Add to Chrome" to complete the installation.
it can
read and change all your data on the web sites you visit
replace the page you see when opening a new tab
manage your app extensions and themes
Does not sound to safe to me ....

STOP STOP STOP and one more for good luck STOP.
I don't think you are installing a google maps into chrome. Sounds more like a adware trojan.
Are you sure you are in google maps. Look at the address bar. It should look something like this. https://www.google.com/maps/

Actually I just started playing with the app Rever. It's a motorcyclist app and lets you make routes on the computer etc and also works with brp connect and your gauge. Maybe take a look at that and see how it is.

Also take a look at "Waze". Been using it when I can't find my GPS.

I don't know how to move to Zumo sorry. Someone else should be able to help.
To fix Chrome. Click on menu. 3 vertical dot top right. Choose "settings". Scroll down and click on "advanced". Scroll down and choose "restore settings to their original defaults". Warning all your changes to chrome will be gone. So will your auto login to sites like Spyderlovers.

Rever is just OK. It is good for tracking where you have been but navigation to a location is pretty lame. Also, if I am going to pay a monthly fee to get the usable app, I would just buy Genius Maps. It isn't perfect, but it works better than the cellular based apps in areas where service is an issue. Ran into that in Virginia within 40 mile of Richmond last summer. Talk about feeling helpless. I needed a paper map.

Can you also import GPX files directly on Rever ? Doesn't seem to work with Sygic or Genius Map...

Not sure on Genius, but you can import a route into Sygic. You can either use their mapping program (https://www.sygic.com/blog/2018/web-...n-smarter-ways) and send a mail to yourself, or create a GPX and use ITN Converter to convert the file to a sygic format. Both work well. If using ITN Converter, set Sygic to use a web based server (e.g. Dropbox) and it is super easy.
I've found that using Honda Trip Planner is a pretty easy way to create a GPX file, although allot of options as discussed above.

I use Google maps. I don't have a problem with giving up some personal info, as part of a community effort to expand the functionality of online mapping.

You need to convert the Google GPS to GPX. Try https://mapstogpx.com/ it's free and it works. Once the file is converted you can easily import to the Garmin via computer cable. Easy, peasy

Rever does GPX import and export. Or senic app (iPhone only for senic)
I have genius mps as well.
I think I have about 15 different apps lol.
