Try removing the battery wait a couple of minutes then reinstall. Normally gets rid of bugs.

Gps
I did keep pushing the dots and finally got a re-cal. But it wouldn't take any key import....took it to the pro sport Spyder dealer in Vegas, which I didn't buy it from them but they just took me in and looked at it....having one sent to my house.....what good service....an so happy

Just buy a current highway atlas for a few bucks and be done with those techno-gadgets. Too damned difficult to read them anyway while underway. Even the much larger one in the car is useless most of the time when the sun is shining and washing out the screen.
BTW, do you realize how easy it would be for anyone to remove that device from your Spyder and walk away with it? I don't even keep mine mounted any longer for that very reason.

Atlas
I have had a problem finding the next truck stop or local motel for the night in my atlas. I never remove my gps during the day and have never had a problem. Hisst

I almost always do my next stop planning the day before so there are no surprises when I arrive but that's just me.
It's all what you prefer but if you carry a smartphone you have everything you need to find businesses.
Right now Spyder GPS' are so rare that people are not used to seeing them but it won't be that way forever. Personally, if I am going to carry a GPS I just put my portable Garmin Nuvi in my pocket. Functions just as good as the high dollar Spyder version and won't get stolen. Plus, I can move it to my other vehicles that don't have integrated GPS devices and I can plan/program routes without having to sit on the Spyder to do it.

The only way they'll get mine off the bike is by destroying the GPS.
But then for one you believes in using maps, you would unfamiliar with the devices available to lock in place!

Great for during the day but I won't leave the GPS on overnight at a motel.

So, tell me, what is the difference if (1) they steal it or (2) they destroy it?

Garmin
My Garmin takes all of about 2 seconds to remove from the mount. I then just put it the trunk.

Mine goes with me into the motel so I can enter the next days destination. I don't do routs because that usually changes. But the next night motel is useful.
