    Default Place the Bell

People have diffrent names for them, Angle bells, Guardian bells, its where a loved one give you a small bell to hang on your bike. Where is a good place to hang one on my RT?

    I went higher...
But it seemed like a more "normal" place to mount something.

I have two in the front attached to the A-Arms, and another two hanging on small eyebolts that I installed beneath the floorboards. It's not that I'm uber superstitious; four different people gave me gremlin bells, and I feel obligated to use them.

Mine hangs from the bottom of the brake pedal. It has been there for almost three years.

The "rules" say as low as possible on the bike.

Me: currently--one hanging from the shifter mechanism on both RT's. Another one hanging from the A arm on Linda's RT.

Past: Hung from the buckles on the leather saddlebags.

So far they have worked, all except for the encounter with the big dog. He lost and the machine received a couple K in front end damage. It got fixed perfect though and one would never know.

Same for me. Brake pedal 2 Zip Ties. Looked like a good spot. Now to buy another one on my trip next week, and pass it on to another Spyder Lover needing one as one done for me.

I thought that if you already had ONE Gremlin Bell & got given any more, you HAD to pass it forward by gifting the extras to someone else or you'd destroy the protection you already had!!! ie; One is good, but more than one is worse than none!!

Obviously that can't be the case tho Pam, since you seem to be going OK.

Share the wealth with those less fortunate, like if I had 6 ears of corn and could only eat 2. Now there's an obligation
we can all get behind. Of course with all the "engine rattle/ noise " posts lately, it may just add to the racket.

JMO, but I would say that a gone clapper is definitely worse than a black cat crossing the road ahead. I would proceed with caution until you can replace the clapper.

I dunno, but I'd reckon surely there'd hafta be a whole lot worse things than riding around without the clapper!

Hmmm, I've never heard THAT part of the legend

I've purchased dozens of Gremlin Bells for friends and family for their bikes and would be sad if any of them re-gifted it to someone else.

I'm sure those who have gifted Gremlin Bells to me would feel the same way
