In a commission-generated environment you are probably going to have suggestions to replace unnecessary parts. It happens in auto repair industry all the time. That's why it is always good to get a second or third opinion.

A note about the Federal EVO tires. First thing I noticed after putting them on was how much easier the steering was at low speeds. In fact, it was so much better than the Kendras I had to relearn how to corner a little bit. I was used to shoving the bars through turns. With the Federals, if I tried that the bike would dart the response was so much quicker. I noticed the other day that I have some slop in the steering and I'm betting it is the DPS gears with premature wear. And I'll bet most of it was caused by the kendras. Having the stiffer Federals does not make the power steering have to work near as hard than with the OEM tires.
