Yesterday, I went for a two-hour ride and I experienced cracking in the neck. I've had that a few times in the past, only while riding a motorcycle. I suppose it can be due to the weight of the helmet pushing down on the vertebrae. It could be that I am too focused and not moving my head enough. Signs of osteoarthritis. This time the snap was quite significant. A bit scary. It so happened I had done a workout before the ride and my back and shoulder muscles must have been tired and weaker. I'm gonna schedule a call with my physician. My helmet is an ARAI. Not the lightest but very comfortable. Don't know whether a significantly lighter helmet would make a difference.

Anybody else experienced something similar and, if so, what have you done?

Thanks
