    Default F3 Limited exhaust

Good day everybody. I'm looking into changing the exhaust on my f3 limited and was looking at the two brothers or the Akrapovic. Was wondering if anybody was running either exhaust on their spyder and how loud they are and if they liked it so far.

Thanks a lot for all the help

Couple of weeks ago had my 2017 F3 Daytona 500 delivered with The akrapovic sinister silencer installed, have not gone far but love the sound so far.

    Default F3

in our group, there are 9 of us with F3's.... one of the riders had the CAT removed, and it now produces a louder, but very nice tone...
before spending $600 - $1000 for another muffler, buy the By-Pass Pipe and give that a run....

    Default Try this....

You tube has a lot of clips with audio of the different pipes out there. Just as a reference cause it is not the same as in real time...

I like the complete system made by PitBull. It's all one piece and sounds good.

I've looked on YouTube first ace but like said the sound isn't the same. That's why I've asked for input here to see if anybody has heard them in person to see the difference.. where can one by the by-pass and how those that work?

Thanks again for all the input..

I just bought the Akrapovic Exhaust for my 2016 F3 Limited. Its not installed yet.
I had this exhaust on my 2015 RT Limited with cat delete from Lamonster Garage. The sound is deep and not tinny or sport bike sounding.
To get a louder sound remove the inserts in pipe.
I really liked the sound on my RT.
For a real loud pipe the two brothers is the way to go.

How does one go by removing the inserts of the pipe and are u going to remove the cat on your f3 limited or keep it? What install are u going to have on your limited? Is all this a farely easy thing to do myself or should I bring it to a dealer to have them install all this for me?

    Thanks alot. Really appreciate it

I have the two brothers. Not my favorite tone. I feel like it is VERY CROTCH ROCKETEY. I'd rather have a deeper RUMBLE.

try adding the P1X power tip

"Two Bros' P1X PowerTip sound suppressor is a recommended accessory for our exhaust systems with M or S1R series endcaps. A straight-through sound diffuser, the TBR PowerTip quiets the pipe about 7-8 dB with no significant reduction in horsepower"

I am going to remove the cat and use Lamonster cat delete with a big city monster baffle installed in the cat delete pipe.
I used this set up on my 2015 RT and it worked great. With the big City Baffle there is just enough back pressure .

To remove the inserts on the Akripovic exhaust you remove the back cap and the inserts slide out.
you can install the pipes yourself but the top spring on the cat pipe is hard to reach. I bought a cheap spring puller to accomplish removing and reinstalling the springs.
I use a friends spyder lift so i dont have to crawl around on the floor.

Thanks for the advice guys. Might start with the cat bypass with the stock exhaust and go from there... not 100% sure yet.. [emoji3]

Did. Little better. Still not real happy with it. FWIW, I have a Two Brothers on our '13 RT-S and like the sound on it.

no fuel mapping or dyno testing required.let the spyderr idle for about 10min so computer can figure out changes to exhaust

You could just add a sound system and play engine noise.

I'm thinking of getting the Lamonster cat delete pipe put he said on his video that it's only for testing and track only. What does he mean by that and also says to check with your local authorities.. I don't understand what I have to ask my authorities for. Can anybody clear any of this for me..

    Thanks again

Running with the Cat deleted on public roads is technically not legal in most states. BRP used a similar disclaimer on the Hindle exhaust.
It's not a law that's really enforced on motorcycles... just look at all the loud HD's out there.

hi jul0682, the best advice as to how it sounds is to come to spyderfest this month I know you are far but at least this way you can see a lot of different setups and then you can make a finanicial decision on what to do next. hope this helps you.and if you find what you like you might just be able to get all installed while in springfield,mo.we hope to see you there
