Couldn't possibly have anything to do with the extra weight...
As far as I'm concerned, nanny it too abrupt already, at leas on my '14. Maybe it's smoother on the newer models?
Doesn't matter...
The grips on my 14 RTS get warm enough on high, but the backs of my hands still get cold It's ok for my short commute, but I wouldn't ride distance with it.
Heated gloves are the only way to go...
Cell phones are no more the issue than guns killing people. It's the idiots behind them....
Installed the new M2 shocks
Did a coolant change while I had the front off.
Got the M2s installed saturday. Took an hour or so ride on sunday with her. Rides nice with the two of us. The ACS is still out, but we never bottomed out even over the speed bumps in the...
Can't say that I've noticed that myself. I was doing 80+ on the way to Rock Hill for the Can Am Experience ride. Tryke was stable the whole way. But that was unusual, usually I'm at the speed...
I'm not too worried about cornering issues while riding two-up. When she's on the tryke, I take it easy and we just tool around at a leisurely pace. We'll see how it is when I'm alone. I bought...
It was either COG (Concours group) or the STOC (ST owners) site that had a section with a list of people and their locations and what kind of help they could offer. Some people could offer tools and...
Thanks, I wasn't expecting to make my money back or anything. I'm retiring (again) shortly and if I did anything like that it would be more of a hobby side business to keep me amused and occupied. ...
If you're asking me, I'm at 220, and the wife is about 215. She's mostly disabled and only rides with me occasionally, so we don't "tour" on it together. Usually an hour or so at a time.
Marcus...
I've tried to contact him/ship a couple of times - email and called - but no luck. I have some questions before I send off a seat.
It sounded kinda fishy, and I'm not overly fond of this dealer, but they're the only one close by. Otherwise it's an hour ride to the next one that I know. But if that's what I gotta do.
I've...
Ordered mine in early Feb and just received them. Between personnel, personal, and supply issues, it took a while. Hope to put them in next weekend.
I received one key with my 2014 RT-S. I've been meaning to get a replacement for a while (four years now).
I was at the dealer Saturday to pick up a few things, and figured I'd ask about a...
Personally I'd go with Russel or Lamm. I've had hit or miss with Corbin - loved it on an ST1100, hated it on a CB750. And then there's the cost and weight. Corbin seats are HEAVY, so unless you...
Gotcha, figured I'd ask.
Seems like maybe the Midlands Chapter of the Spyder Ryders is gone, can't get a reply from anyone. Might have to try to join a different branch. I'm not looking for a...
I'm with Columbia - I can still ride and hold up a big bike, but the wife prefers the tryke. She doesn't want to drive it, just ride. Since I don't want to transition from one to the other, I have...
I went used because I wasn't sure how well I'd like it. I'd taken a test ride on a 2010, and wasn't too sure. But I took a leap of faith and here I am.
I've seen a lot of older Spyders with VERY...
I bought my 2014 RTS from Imotorsports in 2019.
Not a bad transaction overall, but I don't think I'd do it again. They seemed to have trouble getting me everything because I was doing my own...
The Can-Am experience was in Rock Hill this weekend. I managed to sign up for the last remaining slot of the early morning and got the chance to ride an F3L. Glad I did - I've always loved the way...
Went to the Can-Am Experience in Rock Hill this weekend. found out about this: https://www.usspyderryders.com/midlands-chapter
Anyone here a member? I'm contacting them, maybe they set up some...
Are you at Shaw AFB, or just in Sumter? I spent many years at Shaw, now I'm in Columbia.
I was able to test ride a used 2010 RT at my dealer. They offered me a test ride on the new 2018 they had but I would have had to make an appointment. Instead, I took the leap and got my 2014 from...
When mine was working, I noticed a difference in ride when playing with the switch but mostly just at the extremes. If you're riding two-up, then yes you're going to notice a difference as the ACS...
Got an XPS oil change kit from Amazon - 5w-40 I believe. Seems to have fixed the surging issue I've had on first startup/drive. Shifts seem a little sharper too, but that could just be fresh oil.
...
Hm, not many of us on here. I see a few Sypders running around here, but apparently they're not on the board. Probably FB, but I'm not going there.
I got lucky, I just did an oil change a couple weeks ago and had gotten the "standard" replacement plugs from Lamonster. The torx plug was no issue, but the allen plug was almost rounded out. ...
Is anyone a member of the Caroline Spyder Ryders?
I've baked a PCB from a TV before - fixed a couple issues and lasted a while. If I recall, it was 210 degrees for 20 minutes.
