For our new followers that aren't aware, Teddy has many past adventures to share
http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/s...n-the-Mid-West
The above link, takes you to our Adventures with his first Spyder, which was a 2o1o Timeless Black RT-S that we got back in May of 2o1o. Its the very beginning of our accounting of our journey with this Wonderfully Addictive Machine, we all call a Spyder.
(just a lil sidenote)
I remember the first time we met Randy & Holly (Arntufun & HollY) at the campground in NewYork for Spyders In The Adirondacks. We didn't know each other at all, except for following each others posts here on SpyderLovers. When we were talking, and being relieved that neither of us was the others' worst nightmarenojoke to share a campsite with, I remember asking him why he trusted us? He then told me that he went through & read EVERY POST in Teddys New Adventures thread, and he took the risk that someone so caring for his best friend (Teddy) couldn't be all that bad :joke: Hope you Enjoy & Happy Holidays
At first, I was a little shocked  that someone would actually go through all these posts & then I kinda felt a little vulnerable, cause he knew so much about us, but I still didn't know much about him nor Holly & this was before Holly had joined SpyderLovers. Luckily for all of us, it worked out great & we all clicked and had a Great Time. But I just recently realized, I doubt he knew about Teddy's "Old" Adventures & probably hadn't read those, as many of you may not have, so thats why I thought I would share the link to Teddys history. Heck, with the long holiday & many of you are hibernating your Spyders for the winter, it may provide you some much needed reading material with a Spyder related theme & a cool lil dog to boot :doorag:
Wow, a blast from the past- a pic from Teds old thread
The guy driving next to us snapped this pic
then he got my attention and followed us off the exit
and asked for my cell # so he could send us the photo.
Just realized, this is the first (& I think only)
pic that I have of us "In Action"

Day after Christmas group ryde & breakfast in Cincy
Ok, I just got off the phone with Stan (SportySpyder) in planning our lil group ryde today.
Neither of us have heard from (Coz) yet, so we're gonna wait a lil to see if he's on board.
Right now, a lil after 9am, its still freezing out, about 28 degrees.
I suggested waiting a bit for the sun to warm us up some more
and see if (Coz) is gonna join us or not, so we'll wait til
around 10am to decide. If not, we'll just plan on
meeting at Bob Evans in Florence (Dream St.)
at 10:30am today... hmmmmmmmm...
does 2 Spyders make a group ryde?
:p
Its 40 degrees now & raining, changing over to our 1st snowfall of the season soon
So yesterdays group ryde turned into 2 Spyders meeting for breakfast. Coz couldn't make it & my brother called asking me to join with my other brothers & taking a road-trip up to see our sister in Batavia Ohio. So Stan & his S.O. met Teddy & I at Bob Evans for a really nice breakfast. Stans S.O. didn't have the proper cold weather ryding gear, so she drove her car, while Stan layered up for his cold weather ryde on his RS. Hey, the sun was out, but granted, it was still in the 30s, but he made the short ryde just fine. He just had to delayer a bit once we got inside so he didn't over heat. Teddys new heating pad is working really well, tho we still have it temporarily rigged right now. Another forum member is sending us what he believes will be the perfect solution for our needs, so we're waiting til it arrives before I finish its set-up. As for me, I just use my thermo-suit like you see the surfers do with their wet suits & I just unzip the top, slide it off the shoulders & tie the arms around my waist & works great for me.
After breakfast, we parted ways & I believe Stan headed home & Teddy & I made our way to meet up with my brothers in the city of Wilder. Once we all gethered, they decided to ryde together while Teddy & I were ryde'n his Spyder. Its about a 30 mile ryde to my sisters house & it was a nice ryde, albeit almost all highway speeds of 65-80. We didn't try keeping up with my brother & it was funny, cause Im not sure why, but I noticed he missed my sisters exit off the highway & he just kept on going. We made it to my sisters about 10 minutes before them, even tho he was going much faster than we were. Ha Ha
We had a nice visit with our sis & of course Teddy was busy schmooz'n & love'n on everyone & everyone love'n on him back.
We once again dodged the White Bullit of Winter & does anyone want to adopt Teddys...
So yeah, the white stuff never materialized for us here in Cincinnati. The surrounding areas did get a bit of the snow yesterday, but none for us in the Metro area.
Over the past couple of months, Teddy & his pet cat have been coming to blows more frequently & I fear I have made a major mistake. When I first got him his own pet kitten, that we rescued from our local shelter, she was only about 6-8 weeks old & was found in someones yard all alone, who took her to the shelter. My original thinking last winter, was that I hadn't yet perfected Teddys Winter ryde'n gear & accessories to make his frezzing weather travel comfortable & I was leaving him home alone & he was going crazy & I was personally feeling bad about it. I was thinking if he had a buddy to spend his "home alone" time with, that it wouldn't be so bad for him. Well, that worked out for a couple of months, and as passive as the Tedster is, he was in charge of the cute lil fur-ball of a kitten. But as time passed, the lil kitten grew to become a full grown cat. This wasn't an oversite on my part, as I knew this would happen, but my hope was, that since he was hee 1st, & displayed his dominence over her from the beginning, that it would just continue this way going forward. Mind you, when we get his pet kitten, she came already being "fixed" & micro-chipped, but part of the agreement was that we couldn't get her front claws declawed & that worried me, but we didn't have a choice, so we agreed & it hasn't been an issue til recently. His cat "Skydie" short for SkydMarq is actually fine & a normal cat. The problem is Teddy & as he's gotten older, he's getting more & more jealous of any attention that I pay to Skydie. I'm almost afraid to pet her now, cause if he sees me giving her attention, then he starts "bully'n" her. He's not aggressive, but he'll go over & try sitting on her & standing over her, as to try n show his dominence. Well, not that Skydie is full grown & has claws, she won't take it from him & she'll actually attack him, claws first. He's had a couple close calls, where she just missed his eyes but did get his ear, & sliced it to where it was bleeding. You'd think he'd get the hint & not bully her any more, but its almost as if he can't help himself & when he sees me giving her attention, the cycle continues.
I blame myself for this, cause with his training, and his Service Work, he's been trained to be the center of attention & yes, he is spoiled, totally my fault, I know. But I don't want to see him get hurt, but I also don't want to neglect Skydie as she is a great cat & deserves more love and attention that Teddy allows me to give her.

Pics of the Tedster check'n SpyderLovers & at the Vets office today
Its not only the agreement about not declawing, but I personally don't agree with it. I've had an adult cat declawed in the past & it totally changed her personallity and not for the good. Ever since that experience, I swore I wouldn't do that again. As much as we try n justify it for ourselves, IMHO it just isn't humane to do to an animal. And doing so, would remedy the danger to Teddy, but I fear the underlying problem, his jealousy would continue to get worse. And that could cause all types of potential problems that I personally would rather avoid. He needs to feel confident that he has my full attention when we're at home, that way he can remain so outgoing & loving while doing his Therapy work or just out ryde'n & schmoozen. Not to mention, Skydie deserves alot more love & attention than I give her. With Teddy & I on the road so much, she's left home alone & thats alot.
Thought I'd share some pics taken today of Teddy at his vets office & him checking the SpyderLovers Website. Gosh, he's so shaggy right now, its kill'n me to not shave him down, but we have to wait til warmer weather for that. If you notice in the close-up of his head, he's get'n that old man white goatee around his muzzle. Used to be solid black as a pup, but like all of us, as he ages (he's 3 now) its get'n lighter & lighter.
Yup, & it drives me crazy

Especially now with it being cold, he's gotta get layerd up & all that hair gets worked into a rats-nest every time we ryde. Then its torture for him when I go to brush him, but its a neccessary evil, otherwise he'd end up matted & then I'd have to shave him, & now isn't the season for that.
UGH!!! On an unrelated note, we didn't ryde at all yesterday & it got up to 50. But I spent the entire day on the couch suffering from withdrawl symptoms & not from my Spyder Addiction. Its almost a New Year & I need to get my butt in gear & get healthy, so the first place for me to start is with eating & drinking healthy. Not sure if anyone else out there is addicted to caffiene or not, but stopping it is very comparable to the withdrawl symptoms that a crack or heroin addict experiences & I was going through them all yesterday, the cold sweats, shakes, horrible headaches, hot flashes & vomiting. It wasn't a pretty site, thats for sure, but Teddy was right there by my side offering his reassurence that all would be well. They say it takes roughly 72 hours to get through it, & I'm just about there & am feeling so much better today. Just checked the weather status & its overcast now & about 53 with a chance of light showers. Need to get out & ryde while we still have decent temps. cause the bottom is dropping out & the high in the 30s is forcasted for the forseeable future. So I think a lil ryde is in order. Hope y'all can get a good ryde in as well.
So much happiness & smiles in so little time
Figures, we were out for about 15 minutes & BAM, here comes the rain. Kinda crazy, in 15 minutes of ryding, Teddy had at least 5 pics taken of him ryde'n, & thats just the ones that I saw. I have no clue how many that were passing by on the highway, but I'm sure it was a few more:thumbup:
Now that we're home, the rain has stopped, clouds have parted & I can see the sun again. Guess we'll make another trip out & see if we can actually make it to the grocery store this time, without get'n wet :p
I AM very glad I never started

Not the greatest day to be out ryde'n, but of course we were. Put on almost 100 miles mostly put'n around town & let'n ppl take pics of the Tedster ryde'n in stYle. At least today, we didn't get caught out in the rain again. Look'n forward to 2012 & hopefully more dryer days than our record breaking rainfall of 2011.
:yes:HAPPY NEW YEAR
