The shop owner is also on-board. We discussed the alternative of replacing that arm with another OEM pice, and agreed that using an updated and stronger piece is the best way to proceed.
So you are confident the arm for the 2014's is the same? It's hard to know since the part number for the whole assembly changed.

Yeah, Me too. He's right on the money.
The only differences are in teh clips that mount the windshield support to the mounting arm.
The arm itself is the same crappy piece.
