Picking up the RT Sunday - Advice? also - Fog Q.
Hi folks,
Will be traveling about 4 hours to DC to pick up my 'new' 2012 RT - SM, staying the night to visit and then driving home Sunday after church. I've read the Do's and Don'ts as well as an online owners manual. Have about 10 miles on a used RS test drive at the dealer a few months back.
I wanted to wimp out and put it in my hauler but the opening is just an inch wider than and I don't trust we could get it in and out unscathed.
Tips?
Other Q...still don't know if this is an 'S' or not, ass-u-ming it is just an A&C. The BRP foglight kit is mighty expensive, is there an aftermarket yet or just suck it up?
Mods are sitting here waiting for it to arrive home. Baja Ron sway bar, upper heat blocker, missing belt guard (lots of gravel), BRP cover. As soon as I see if it's an 'S' or not I'll be ordering the rear audio kit. Not so sure about them foglights!

Chances are, if you don't have fogs, then it's a base RT or an A&C model. Which means you need the rear audio as well. After 3 years of ownership, still haven't added the fogs to mine or the rear speakers. If I would ever get around to it, I'd get the BRP stuff!
Enjoy the ryde home and congrats!

Check your front tire pressure to make sure they are even.
Stop every 100 miles for gas.
Don't tailgate.
Enjoy the ride.

Just asking
Where, in North Carolina, are you coming from? Just wondering if you will be passing through Virginia Beach area on your way back home. I have an RT, as well, and if you were passing through, (if you wanted) you could stop by and get some more insight to the "Wonderful World of Spyders"!!!!!! PM me if you're interested!!!!

I'll find out Sunday if it has rear speakers or fogs. Bought from a friend with ALS so the communications haven't been deep. I got the price, VIN, mileage, the fact that it's manual shift and has the audio system. From description of the gauges I think it's full A&C, when I see it I'll know if it's an -S .
As for my trip, I live on the NC/VA border near Clarksville, VA, so my trip takes me 85 up to near Richmond, then 95 on into DC. Don't expect I'll be able to make any side trips as I've gotta hop on a plane the following morning for a work trip .

You must live near Oxford.
