Oklahoma City has had 12 earthquakes since this morning.

No sweat. That's just mother nature doing a little fracking of her own.

How strong were they?
Do they normally see that much seismic activity?

4.4 was the strongest. They're located in the New Madrid fault zone. Looks like they do have quite a few.

I think I heard somewhere that New Madrid is about due (actually overdue) for another BIG quake. Same article made note that the last "big one" for New Madrid changed the course of the Mississippi River and destroyed the town of New Madrid, MO ... occurred early 1800's (1810, 1811, or 1812).
Be safe .... Ann

Maybe by letting a bit of the "pressure" go; it'll delay anything much larger.

Read somewhere last week where we are now #2 for the number of earthquakes this year.

A typical day in Alaska. So far 228 quakes recorded. Colors indicate most recent. Red 1 hour less, then orange, yellow, green (within 24 hours).
