Default damaged nut holding rear tire on????

New 2014 rts owner here. I took off the cap on rear wheel , nut/bolt on the left side of bike. The nut is tight but the bolt is not round. It looks like someone has beaten it with a hammer to keep it from coming loose. the edges are bent up blocking the removal of the bolt. There are several indentations on it. Is this normal for the can am. I just got it.

    Thanks

    Dave,

That's BRP's solution to have a bolt head on a hollow bolt. The nut on the right side is the one that comes off so the axle can come out the left side. When you look at the right side you'll see why. Axle won't pass through the muffler!
