Want to make it easier to remove the bugs - what wax should be used, if at all?
I want to wax my Spyder to make it easier to remove the bugs and I don't want to damage the paint.
What cleaning methods do you guys use to clean it. Thanks for the inputs.

I put a coat of Mothers on once a year and then Yamaha Spray Detailer to clean the bugs and dirt off and put a new shine on it.

I recommend ANY type of wax ..... some say " Ceramic " ( which is NOT wax ) is best .... however if you read about that product you might not like what you find out ..... I did and don't use it ....Mike

I bought some stuff from Chemical Guys to use on my Spyder.
Meticulous Matte Auto Wash
Meticulous Matte Detailer Spray & Sealant for Crisp Satin & Matte Finishes
Chenille wash mitt
I haven't used them yet, but in my defense the odometer on my Spyder only passed 100 miles during my last ride.

I use Mother's wash and shine. Wet the compete Spyder and then wash with the 'solution'. Doing this way 1 or 2 times a month as needed. As for the daily cleaning after I had a 'Ryde Time'. I use some spray wipe and polish. I have used a Yamaha and BRP product.
Both are very good.
Ryde clean and stay Healthy. ....

Thank you guys for your advice

I use Rejex, then bugs and dirt wipe right off with Mother’s instant detailer and a microfiber cloth.

I've used various waxes, but between waxes, like after a ride or whatever, I always use Lucas Mist. It's a spray wax that works great for quick wipe-downs and keeping a shine and wax coat.
On the windshield I think it does help the bugs come off a lot easier.

A good coat of wax/protectant, regardless of which one, will help with bugs and paint protection, period. It seems there's as many opinions as there are people. I've used everything from Lemon Pledge, to "specialty for plastics" products. Right now I'm using Turtle Wax's "hybrid ceramic" with very good results, and will probably try something else when that runs out, just to continue exploring And yes, all of these can be and should be used on the windshield. (This isn't true for everything...read the label, some things are not safe for plastics.)

A way to "dissolve" bugs, and their related spatter, is to first spray the area with Hydrogen Peroxide. Bugs will literally "foam" up and will be very easy to wipe off. Like others here have said, use what ever type of wax or protectant works for you. The peroxide will not harm anything.

Where can you get f11 from and do you guys wash your spyder or just use spray on cleaner
-
I've bought it direct and from Amazon.
I wash then apply.
However, on long trips I use it as a waterless wash.
I also use Griot's Spray-On Car Wash and the two seem not bother each other

It is. A little goes a long way, and you can use it on everything.
I get 10 months (water still beading off) on my 2000 Dodge Ram 3500. The truck lives outside, and it shines liker near new.
We still use it on all boats.
The higher the SiO2 content the more expensive it is. A professional content for high end vehicle treatment runs about $300.00 per 8 oz kit!!
Part of our family business is yacht/boat detailing. I've been using/experimenting with all sorts of products for over 45 years.

I’ve tried a lot of different products but in the end, I have gone back to the old tried & true things I have used for years. Aside from an occasional claying, I use Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax for my base wax & Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer to remove the bugs & to spruce it up before I go on a ride. Being that I have a lot of chrome, I use Never Dull which I’ve used since the 1970’s. For the leather seat, I go with Leather Honey conditioner. For the tires, I go with Aero Products Rubber Care - no gloss, just a nice matte finish.
I keep a bottle of Quik Detailer in my trunk with a fiber cloth since I lived in Florida - land of the love bugs.
I used to try any of the latest & greatest products that came out, but I’ve narrowed it down to only these.

Same here. It won't hold up for months like claimed, but does a very good job.

It really works well.

It does work well. A heavy rinse of water is needed as it is corrosive
