Default What's this other code beyond the Tire age numbers?

Always went on the last four numbers after the DOT was the tires age which would place these from 2007, but do the other numbers by the white stamp mark mean anything about the age or just something else? All three of my tires have a similar arrangement.

Those other numbers are a manufacturer's batch number or some other manufacturers code that the manufacturer might use to identify things like the tire's tread compound or pattern; a code &/or use which can vary between manufacturers. But those extra codes are not really all that informative or useful to you as a tire owner/user; the only one you really want to be concerned with is the age code, and if you are still running tires that made waaaayyy back in the 39th week of 2007, you might avoid riding on them at all costs, and want to toss those 15 year old tires regardless of how good their tread looks & buy a newer, more recently made set! Once tires have been fitted & let out into the uncontrolled temperature variations of the open air, where they fairly quickly bleed off all the bits that make them flexible & safe, they really don't last too much longer than about 5-7 years...

Have an appointment with Lamonster next Friday to get new rubber all around and an oil change. Was supposed to do it last year but my life got upended and the bike sat all last year. Looking forward to riding more this year.

Good, those tires are dangerous. The rubber hardens and becomes very slippery as tires age. No traction when you need it regardless of how nice the tread looks.

    Default Dot tires numbers

...I am still amazed that so many motorcycle owners are unaware of the DOT NUMBERS.
I understand cage owners because they just drive and try to remember to fuel the tank.

    0422: means fourth week (04) ...year (22).

So check out your DOT NUMBERS on your Spyder Tires.
0116: maybe time to get New Tires. .....

Those other numbers: I seem to recall reading that it's the employee identification. A record of "who" actually built each tire is kept. For liability reasons.

I am reading your signature data, If I'm reading it right, you got 70,500 miles out of the original front Kenda tires!
I hope you didn't throw them away, cause I would love to see a picture of them after that many miles.
