Yep.
On a side note, I'm kinda surprised this site does not have guidelines regarding discouraging posts about displays of excessive speed / racing / other reckless nonsense on Public Roads. This is the second i've seen in as many days, and I just got here!
A Spyder is many things - but being truly 'fast' is not one of them. And impressing Harley riders is an exercise in futility.
Where are the adults when ye need 'em?

We already have a 'Nanny' on the forums:
https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...efore-Posting)
In my view, a good thang. Alleged 'adults' engaged in blatant, idiotic reckless endangerment on Public Roads, then bragging about it here is FAR worse than posting profanity and porn. Take it to the track, hoss.
This is far from being a unique concept - here's an example from the world's largest F150 forum: https://www.f150forum.com/f123/

Well Canuckistan is a different world. The guys I ride with mostly Legion Riders are usually hitting it hard and don't wait for stragglers.
It is not hard to get over a 100 on I-10 on any ride. The trucks are running 85 cars running 90. You only need a frew MPH more to get over 100.
I have had both my RT and St well over a 100 lots of times. So now ban me.

That's mostly about porn and profanity, Nothing about reckless endangerment. Besides, if he was toasting Harleys he wasn't going all that fast.

Yessir - I know. The point being, this site, by not calling out / curtailing such behaviour can run the risk of being construed to mean it's (passively, at any rate) condoned.
Porn/profanity is the lesser evil - no one gets hurt (physically).
Hooligans indeed, lol.

His last bike was a 99 Busa, one of the stupid fast bikes of all time, in light of that can the speed of a F3 Spyder ever be considered excessive?

My son's current bike is a Kaw z1000. So stupid fast that one must leave red light or stop sign right or left turns vewwwwyyy carefuwwwee after waiting for a good gap in cross traffic. Crazy. I ride that from time to time. I owned a pitiful 600 which was too fast. Fastest I've ever gone on land was 187mph (indicated) which caused my t-shirt to whip me into submission quickly on a z9 which is now breaking records at Quaker City Dragway.
All references to high speed in this post were accomplished on closed roads with no traffic whatsoever. Don't try this at home (or anywhere, really).

Several of our members never outgrew the "Need for Speed". Since the bulk of our members are seniors in the age world & they are still alive & posting I would have to think they have used some cautions in the quest for living an exciting life. Ride on~~~~~~~~~~.

2016 F3T with the big rear sprocket.
0-60mph 6.7sec which is fairly fast. My GL1800 would do 0-60 in 4.9 which was amazing for a half ton bike. Both were measured with a speedometer app on my android

That "Speedometer Pro" on the Android phone is really neat. It sure beats having my 12" laptop strapped over the handlebars. One thing that amazed me was the degree of bikes speedometer errors. If the tires are new the error on most bikes speedo readings is still approx 5-8% higher than GPS above 100 mph. Can't wait to try 0-60 on my stage 2 upgrade. I'm guessing closer to 5 sec. I'm having difficulty triggering the stopwatch function during a launch :-(
