Cleaning up for the riding season Lamonster Garage style
We got a lot of orders for Lamonster Garage Black Dymond Detailer this weekend so I guess everyone like me is getting ready for the riding season. Mine was pretty dirty. Good thing I had some help.

Does that detailer remove those darn swirl marks? Just got my new spyder with 150km on it and from dealer it has a whole bunch of swirl marks. Don't like seeing that on a bran new ride..

Different than (better than?) McGuiar's?
I've used McGuiar's detailer for years, but I'm always open to something better. Any one have an opinion between Black Diamond and McGuiar's?

How I use it
So I don't want to overstep my knowledge on what Black Diamond detailer can or cannot do, but I don't use it to "detail" my bike. Before riding season starts, I will still use Meguire's polish to get rid of the swirl marks and get it looking good for riding. I will then use Meguire's wax every other month or so to get a good wax on the bike. Both the polish and the wax allow me to use Lamont's Black Diamond in-between waxes and after every ride. You can easily get 15-20 uses out of a can. It smells like coconut and works fantastic...just not sure it will serve as a wax or removing water spots and swirls. It is good stuff though, just bought three cans. I may even buy a case to use on my cars.

It will work as a wax and will remove water spots and some swirls. If the swirls are scratches then you need a polishing compound. BDD is a polymer base.
This is the Matte Magic but you can see how it removes water spots. https://www.facebook.com/lamonster.s...3711761005427/

Flat black Tupperware?
How does the Black Dymond Detailer work on the flat black painted parts of the bike. I am getting the triple black (should be here by Wednesday) and don't want to shine the non shiny parts.

He's got some other stuff that is designed for that specific application.

I used it on my '14 RTL with the platinum finish. It did really well considering the finish. It works great on my new '17 that was just delivered to my house. It is gloss black. I will be waxing it with Mothers, but will be using Lamont's between rides.

As a new Spyder owner I want to give vendors/forum supporters first shot at parts. I have always used Griots and Maguires on my cards and trucks. Love both products. My Spyder had sat for a while unused so had garage dust and crude all over it. It wasn't outside so Nothing faded or ridden very much so no real road grime. I bought the Gift Pack from Lamonster to give it a try. So far all I have used is the Black Dymond detailed and wholly Molly is that good stuff. I don't have a good enough camera to show a before and after but my panels are like brand new and have a slick wax feel to them. I can't wait to try the Trim renew cause if the detailer is any indication of what the product can do I know I will have great results.
Big props to LM for offering such a good product.

Lamonsters detailer is worthless on the triple black Spyders. You can NOT put anything on a triple black other then soap. Can Am mandates this both on their bike and in the owners manual.
