Road Therapy 2
Road therapy can take many forms.
Sometimes it is the most effective when you haven't a clue as to where you are or where you are going.
It can help to forget where you've been.
No matter where you live or how long you have lived there you can probably get yourself purposely, hopelessly lost.
And that's a good thing.
Maybe the terrain or a road sign gives you some kind of clue, but it won't matter.
When you point the two front wheels down a road that you don't know, whizzing past fields, farms or factories you don't recognize a certain letting go takes over.
I think most of us lead all too ordered and predictable lives.
It's high summer, the weather is beautiful and it's time to explore.
Cruising into the unknown, not knowing where you are or how you will get back is a welcome relief from the mundane, the scheduled, the ordinary.
Of course, people who have rydden with me can tell you I can get lost anywhere.
Maybe you should try it.

Agree again....
We always head down the road less traveled and love the ones we have not traveled on. We have always arrived in an area get twisted around and found our way back. We have a GPSin the frunk and only drag it out if we have a time issue...We meet and see the real place and not what they want us to see. Many time just find a place to stay over and enjoy the road home the next day...

Many times I have ridden half the day, gotten totally LOST, taken note of where I am (so I can get back to it later), and pulled out a compass, or lately, a GPS, and "found" myself. My first marriage lasted a lot longer that way.

I love getting lost in a strange area. That's why I tour . . I can't get lost in Kansas.

I'm directionally challenged so usually have the GPS on.
My favorite thing to do when returning from somewhere is set the GPS to 'Avoid Traffic.' You know you'll eventually get home and the scenery and back roads are wonderful.

If you don't slow down, they can't catch you..
If you don't give up, they can't win.
What a long strange journey its been.
