Default RS v F3 drag race

Have any members/owners setup a straight out drag race between RS & F3?
They have very different power to weight ratios, different engines, drive trains & torque graphs.
This will give rise to different opinions on 0-60mph & 60-100mph times etc etc.
The only way of seeing & sensing the difference & margins of difference between the bikes is to see two riders on both machines pull away & gun it for 1/4 mile.
Has this been done? Are there any video links?
It would be interesting to see this.

Otter and his Dad have lined-up...
Let's hope that he chimes in with some results.

I've raced my GS and my F3. Two totally different beasts to drag race.

Best way to tell is which is faster is get 10 good drag racers in each type of Spyder, GS/RS and F3, the winner of each class type race each other. The numbers will tell the tale...

    Maybe next year at Spyderfest???

P.s... The drags this year were rained out. Bummer...

    Default Bummer...

I'm sensing that this feat has not been done yet... is their fear that the little RS will win out in the long run and make the bigger badder F3 look meek...

By seat of the pants My (Traded) 09 GS SE5 would beat My 2015 F3 sm6 Easily!!! Part of it is the Gear Ratio's on the 998 are wider and its cumbersome to get thru 6 Gears as Fast.
I wish the F3 Had the Same 5 Speed as the 998 Twins BUT then the touring people would be Complaining about Gas Mileage and Distance?

Maybe. The RS engine was derated somewhere down the line. With a GS/early RS engine and the skill of the rider in the mix, who knows...

Looking forward to next SpyderFest. (I'll be on my GS)

    Hope for no rain...

It would have to be the GS/RS 106 hp vs the F3 to be fair. You will send pic's and results....😆

Statistically, a perfect sample would be 28 of each flavor. Then...you would have some results to count on.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

    Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles

IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

Look at the reported numbers were when the GS was being sold compared to what Brp said the numbers were for the GS once they started selling the F3! I believe there was some moderate short track testing n 2015,

Bench racing along "Mahogany Ridge", is just talk...
SOMEBODY needs to actually line up the bikes, and see what happens.
That'll stop all of the Bull.

Chad, Are you and your Dad listening???

Looked up the numbers. Very strange...

There was some moderate short track testing in 2015. I believe the RS was a later year model though.
